Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2015
It was fantastic - I highly recommend the recipe. I added pickled peppers instead of fresh ones because that's what I had on hand however I could not have been happier with the dish. We usually have about 1/2 a pan of cornbread left over that we have to throw away but not this time. Every single slice was eaten!

Spinach and Mandarin Orange Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2014
This recipe is great! It is very retro with the warm dressing but the combo of butter, sugar, and vinegar is delectable! I did not use slivered almonds because I had toasted pecans and that were fabulous. I recommend this for everyone!

Fat Sam's Meaty Melted Man Dip - Is It Football Season, Yet???

Reviewed: May 3, 2014
I made this dip exactly as written and it is delicious! You can find a tutorial of what to do and what my family thought of the dip on my blog: www (dot) KellisKitchen (dot) org. You should make this soon - it's great for watching a sports event or just watching TV. A tailgating staple!

Scrambled Eggs Done Right

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2013
I saw recipe by email this morning just as I was about to go scramble some eggs so I tried it. I was a bit skeptical about the mayo thinking the eggs would be greasy and not rich without the milk or half and half. But I was wrong! They are great, no funny taste and the entire family loves it. Of course I added cheese at the end and some hot sauce after I put them on my plate but that's just normal for me.

Rumaki

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
While I took the reviewer's suggestion to bake instead of deep fry, I followed all the rest of the recipe and it turned out fantastic! Just like I remembered my mom making when I was a kid. You must have a taste for these but if you do.........YUM! For the less enthusiastic, made some chestnuts wrapped in bacon without the livers.

Fluffy Seven-Minute Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
I have loved seven-minute icing since I was a little girl but I remember my nana making it by mixing while it was on the stove. That made me very nervous so I never tried. Then, I found a recipe that was different but didn't require handmixer and stove at the same time. It didn't turn out well. This one did! It is heaven! My husband who has only liked canned icing (yuk!) in the past, loves this one too! Can't wait to have my daughter taste it!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This is a great recipe and the taste is wonderful! I followed directions exactly even leaving them in the oven for 10 more minutes than recommended however, the middle was still raw. I preheated correctly so maybe instead of 9 x 13 pan, I should have used a bigger one, but otherwise it was great!

Pastrami Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
My husband LOVES these! Made them today and was going to serve them later for the Super Bowl, but we've already eaten them so I will have to make more later. I saw your video on "how to eat chicken wings" so I served them with Russian/thousand island dressing. They made them so tasty and different!

Touchdown Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
There is another recipe much like this on allrecipes which is WAY more labor intensive. I LOVE this one because it has the same fantastic taste and so much less work! I followed the recipe exactly but learning from the other recipe, I make the chili the day before and store it in the fridge overnight. It somehow melds all the flavors together perfectly! I suggest you make this chili and let it sit for 24 hours before you make any changes in the recipe.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Perfect! Somehow I got nominated to make all the pies for Thanksgiving today. I did what I always so, which is check out all the recipes on Allrecipes. I found this first thing....looked easy enough. Then I followed a reviewer from 2007 who said to heat up the pumpkin and spices then let it cool before adding the Eagle Brand and eggs.....then cook. I want to thank that person as well! Pie was great!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
This cake rocks! My husband only likes 2 kinds of cakes and both involve icing. I made this cake (picture is in the photo section) and dusted powdered sugar on top. He LOVED it! The kids came by and THEY loved it too. Now there is very little left. I used regular strong coffee instead of alcohol only because I didn't have any of the kind listed or recommended by reviewers. Using mixes etc....made it so easy! Thank you!!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
I would give this 10 stars if I could!! I used a deep cast iron skillet instead of my deep fryer simply because it was quicker. We had our 2 sons and son-in-law here today for football. With 4 grown men, I decided to quadruple everything. THAT was not smart because I needed at least 20 more wings! They loved them and so did my daughter and I. I took another reviewer's advice and after frying, paper-toweling, tossing in a tupperware lidded bowl with the hot sauce, I put them on a pan and into the oven at 350 for about 8 minutes. Buffalo wings that are not super-messy! It's a dream come true!! Thanks for such a fantastic recipe. We will have these every weekend between now and the Super Bowl, at my husand and children's request.

Southern Cornbread Dressing

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
This was great! The only thing I added that, to me, makes it actually Southern was ground sage. 2 teaspoonsful. You can add it to your taste but this is a really good recipe! If you don't have celery, used cream of celery soup and a little celery salt and it will be just fine!
