Cantaloupe Bread with Praline Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
Everyone loved this cake. Even my kids that all HATE cantaloupe!Made one loaf as directed and added chopped pecans to the second one. Both were successful. I used frozen cantaloupe that I had previously pureed. I didn't not bother making the glaze because I thought that there was enough sugar already in the batter.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2006
These cookies are great...however, I made some changes to the recipe: used applesauce instead of the oil, for the oatmeal I used the instant oatmeal that comes in the individual packets (6 packets equals 2 cups) No one in my family eats the regular nor the cinnamon and spice so I used them in this recipe. Although it is not recommended to use instant oatmeal in making recipes, I thought that it turned out okay. They were a little on the soft side, but still really good. I made my cookies a little bigger than suggested.

MY first and last recipe for lemon drop cookies. Could it possibly get any easier? I made the cookies just a little bit bigger than originally called and cooked for 13 minutes. GREAT COOKIES. When you are in a hurry to make something lemony and sweet, whip these up! Thank you for posting.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
Yummmy! It is the best beer bread ever! I have made this recipe about a dozen times and still can't get enough of it. I increased the brown sugar to 1/2 cup and used 2 cups AP flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour. YOU MUST USE ******RUMSFORD BRAND BAKING POWDER****** or it will not taste good at all. (I ONLY FOUND IT AT THE DOMINICK'S SUPERMARKET.) The kind of beer really changes the flavor of the bread so make sure it is one that you like a lot. My favorite to cook with is MGD BEER. Now, when ever I drink beer I automatically think of this bread! Even got my non-drinking family members BUYING and *eating* beer. :) Thank you soo much for posting!
