Donut Muffins

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Lovely, easy, fast.... great recipe! Definitely let them cool before eating (if you can manage!) as the taste and texture are perfect at that time. Only thing I changed was they got coated in the margarine/sugar mix rather than just the tops dipped. Made it more like those donuts you get at the carnivals! Thanks!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Thanks for the recipe. I just made this last night and the only thing I changed was adding a touch of white wine to the sauce. I did find that there was definitely room for more flavour! Next time I will follow other suggestions and add bacon to the mix (and using the same frying pan for the chicken!).

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2003
Great recipe!! I used the flour tortillas, which ended up having a super soft (almost) soggy texture(was still very yummy)...maybe corn tortillas don't have that? I didnt shred the chicken, merely cut it up into very small pieces and that worked well. I used half milk, half enchilada sauce, cream of chicken soup.... instead of canned chilies used 2 fresh chilies, one half fresh jalepeno and WOW. Even my extremely picky nearly nine year old niece loved it. This dish freezes well, too. Will certainly use this recipe again. Thank you so much!!!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2003
This was absolutely fantastic!! As suggested by others, I omitted the corn syrup and it turned out with the perfect amount of sweetness; any more would have been overkill!! I did not pound down the chicken and found that I didn't need to; it turned out extremely tender. I also sauteed the mushrooms in a little minced garlic beforehand, which went really well with the honey mustard flavour. I wish I had put a little more cheese on it, but in the end, my Mum thought it was a little rich, but everyone in the family just loved it. I am a Canadian living in Australia and YES, even the Aussies love this dish!! Thanks for a great recipe, Rebecca!! I will definitely make this again for sure.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2003
I think I would have enjoyed this recipe more if I'd been able to use the maple sausage as suggested by other users. From Canada and now living in Western Australia, there are many things I cannot find in the stores that I am accustomed to, including anything maple smoked! The italian sausgae I used didn't taste very good in this, so next time, I think I will add some shredded hashbrowns, some ham and some green onions. Thanks for the breakfast casserole idea!!

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2001
Ever since I first found this recipe on this site 3 years ago, I have made this dish a million times! Huge thing I did notice was that it is very important you use a METAL dish rather than a glass one. Never, ever turned out properly in the glass dish! Use exactly 2.5 lbs of RED potatoes and cut them a bit bigger than diced, bit smaller than quartered, unsalted butter all the way through and if you don't have seasoned breadcrumbs, add parmesan, Italian Seasoning and garlic salt to the plain kind and it'll turn out perfectly. Double your ham, and use extra melted unsalted butter on the crumbs. I have honestly made this for dozens and dozens of people and have yet for a single person to not love it!! Thanks for a wonderful recipe, Terri! PS Also makes great leftovers!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2001
The greatest stuffing ever!! I love cranberry sauce with my stuffing, but adding the dried cranberries to the stuffing eliminated that need. Next time, I will add a little more!!!
