Crispy Oven-Fried Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
This worked really well for me. I dipped in flour, milk, crumbs as others suggested. Next time will add a little seasoning and it will make it a 5 star recipe for my husband and I.

Baked Ham and Cheese Party Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
My family loves when I make these. I always use Hawaiian butter rolls and add half the butter mixture to the inside of the sandwich and the other half to the top. This is definitely one of our favorite recipes from this site.

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
My husband and I enjoyed this. Only thing I did different was use mexican cheese blend instead of colby. I used Tostito brand Artisan 4 Cheese Queso tortilla chips which I think added some flavor. Hubby had seconds and that is always a good sign. I enjoyed the miracle whip in this recipe. I don't like sour cream in my mexican food so this is a great recipe for me.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
Made as written and it turned out really well. Next time will add seasonings. I had to add a little more flour as my dough was sticky. This was fun although I made a mess.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2013
This was okay for us but I like other salmon recipes better. Followed recipe to a T ... I would have liked more soy sauce in the marinade.

Pork Butt Roast with Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I browned like recipe states and then put in a crock pot with the veggies (no mushrooms for me) for 8 hours. This is the first time I made a pork butt roast. I wasn't home to eat dinner with hubby but he said to rate it between 4.5 and 5. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.

Easy Ham and Cheese Appetizer Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
One of my favorites! I used dried minced onion because I am lazy. Used Hawaiian butter dinner rolls and I will make exactly the same next time I make these. Hubby and son loved them for lunch today!

Very good recipe. I used fresh veggies including carrots. After 25 min. I took lid off and broiled for a few minutes. Then plated fish and cooked veggies in microwave for 2 min so the carrots were cooked.

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
I only had 8 lasagna noodles so used a little smaller baking dish and used only 2 cups of water. I found there was just enough of the meat mixture for the smaller dish. I mixed the beans and seasonings with the drained ground beef in the pan to save on cleaning a bowl. I don't like sour cream so just added the green onions, black olives and cheese on top for the last 5 minutes. I really enjoyed this.

Grilled Salmon I

I was never big on eating salmon but this recipe changed my mind. Followed ingredients to a T but cooked on my indoor grill pan so it did not require any additional oil. It came out wonderful!!!!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I used light brown sugar since that is what I already had in the pantry but used all of the other ingredients as posted. I estimated amounts rather than measuring. This recipe made my husband very happy!!! Thanks Sue.

Lemon-Marinated London Broil

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
I did not prick holes in the london broil and doubled the amount of black pepper. I didn't have green onion so chopped a little yellow onion instead. I also used a little more sugar by accident. Marinated overnight and I cooked in a slow cooker with a sliced onion. Not a whole lot of additional flavor but I liked that you could taste the meat. I don't think it would have been very tender cooked on the grill.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
I never liked salmon as I thought it was too fishy tasting but we decided to give this a try since we are trying to eat healthier. I was pleasantly surprised. I baked the salmon in the foil covered casserole dish after marinating. I also used a tsp of dried parsley instead of fresh. I will definitely make again but will cut down on the amount of oil.

Slow Cooker Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
My husband and I enjoyed this for dinner tonight. I used about half an onion and didn't bother boiling the ribs first but followed the rest of the recipe as written. I cooked for 6 1/2 hours on low and that was perfect for us. Someone posted on another recipe that you can put the crock pot lid on top of paper towels to keep the sauce from getting too thin (the paper towels absorb excess moisture). I tried it tonight and it really seemed to work. No need to thicken the sauce. I am not a tomato soup fan but I thought this sauce was excellent on the ribs.

Fish In A Vegetable Patch

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
I used tilapia since that is what I had on hand and used jar marinara sauce for the tomato sauce. I didn't measure ingredients but I know I did not use as much salt as recipe calls for and it was plenty salty. Hubby rated it 4 but asked for seconds. I give it a 5 ... it can't get any easier to make and it is low calorie and tastes fantastic.

Beer Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
I used a half bottle of Yuengling. My son said to rate it a 6 out of 5. My husband and I weren't as impressed but thought it was okay. If I make it again, I will definitely add seasonings but wanted to follow the recipe the first time I made it.
