Chicken Honey Nut Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2003
My son absolutey loved this and I thought it was really good, but hubby just thought it was okay. I think it is a fresh and light flavored stir fry.

This cake was great. It reminded me of blueberry pancakes.

Sassy Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2003
All 3 of us enjoyed this. It was a little salty for me, but my husband and son like it just the way it is. Very simple and fast to make.

Minestrone To Die For

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2003
I wasn't too sure about making this after reading the reviews but we found it quite tasty. I added more water and a 1/2 package of frozen mixed vegetables. I wouldn't make it without the additional vegetables. I also cooked it in the crock pot instead of in the oven.

I added a 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 3 pieces of bacon cooked and crumbled and it was fantastic.

Pork Chop Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2003
I left out the mushrooms and this was still a hit. Pork chops came out nice and tender. The instant rice does come out a little different than long grain rice but it still tasted great.

Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2003
Yummy! The whole family loves this treat and I am glad that I can now make them myself. I added a bit more salt and some tabasco sauce which only added a bit more flavor. I will definitely be making this more. I think I will add some jalapenos and onions next time.

Carol's King Ranch Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2003
This recipe is a lot like a chicken enchilada recipe that I usually make, but this recipe is so much easier and quicker. 5 stars from my husband and 4 stars from me. I used a 10 oz can of rotel tomatoes instead of the 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes and it was perfect, not too soupy.

Sauceless Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2003
My husband made a face when I told him what we were having for dinner, but guess what? He really liked this recipe as did I. We are both pepperoni lovers. Only thing I would do differently next time is use bow-tie pasta.

Cheater Pot Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2003
This is pretty good. I shredded a cooked chicken breast instead of using the canned chicken. Good, but it didn't satisfy my pot pie craving.

Root Beer Float Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
Super moist. I also doubled the glaze. Even with doubling the glaze it still only had a hint of root beer flavor. My kind of dessert, easy and delicious.

Pasta Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2003
This was good, but not the best we have ever had. It was a little thinner than we like, but it wasn't too thin. It made alot so I should have cut the recipe in half. My husband liked the addition of the crushed red pepper which I don't add to my sauce, he usually sprinkles it on before he eats.

Cheesy Potatoes II

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2003
My husband and I liked these. I used O'Brien potatoes since that is what I had in my freezer and I only used 1/2 of the sour cream called for and they still turned out a little too soupy.
