American Shepherd's Pie

Good and comforting dinner. Next time I will add more seasonings to the meat while it is browning. I used Colby Jack cheese and it worked great. Thanks Lisa!

Apple Pork Chop Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2003
I followed the recipe exactly but both my husband and I found the pork chops too bland. I think it would be pretty good if the pork chops were marinated or seasoned before browning them. My husband did enjoy the apples with the stuffing.

My son and I thought it was great, but my hubby was looking for the meat and was disappointed when he didn't find any. Very easy and tasty!

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2003
Good basic stew. Next time I won't cook it as long because the vegetables were way too soft for my taste and I didn't simmer it as long as it called for.

Connie's Quick Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2003
Very simple to make. I made mine in the crock pot so it was all done when I got home from work. I thought it had a little too much of a "canned tomato soup" flavor, so next time will use tomato sauce for 1 can of the soup. My son did give it 5 stars.

I made this for an office luncheon and it was all gone quickly. I think it could have been a bit spicier but it was good.

Grandma Flo's Shipwreck

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2003
I was in the mood for an easy "homey" meal and this did the trick. I also browned the meat first and baked it for an hour. I also added some spaghetti sauce on top because we always like extra sauce. Everyone enjoyed this one! Thanks Sue!

London Broil

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
I used an herb tenderizer instead of MSG and used red wine vinegar instead of the tarragon because I don't have tarragon vinegar on hand. Still very good!
