Candy Corn Bark

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Amazing recipe! Everyone was really impressed with this festive fall treat! Instead of raisins I used peanut M&M's and that was delicious. AND I couldn't find the orange filled Oreo's anywhere so I used the mint green ones instead, that worked very well too!

Spooky Halloween Eyeballs

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
This recipe was VERY time consuming! I had added rice crispy cereal to the peanut butter mixture and I was happy I did. It gave it some texture. I also learned that it was best to dip the balls in small batches because the peanut butter balls would soften and then wouldn't dip well. Letting them sit over night in the fridge also really helped when dipping. Everyone LOVED the taste, my only complaint is it took a LONG time to make! Allow more than 3 hours to make this treat!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I've been looking for the best gingerbread recipe for years and this one was good but no cigar. It was fun trying a recipe that didn't call for molasses and the house smelled like french toast as they were baking. Very yummy...

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I'm not sure why the recipe says to place the dough in the fridge overnight. I put it in the fridge for less than an hour and it worked just fine. I also substituted the butter for Crisco and that made it really easy to work with. Awesome recipe!

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
These cupcakes were fabulous! I just made a few changes... I added more lemon zest to bring out the zing. I also made raspberry frosting instead to give a tasty balance of tart and zest. It was the perfect combination that I was looking for.

Gorgonzola Stuffed Chicken Breasts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Fabulous recipe and SO easy! I used green onions instead of shallots needed to keep it in the oven for an hour. 35 minutes wasn't nearly enough! All-in-all it was a keeper!

Individual Baked Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
Fantastic! I however scrambled the eggs before putting into the tins. The whole eyeball look wasn't appealing to me! Plus this way I was able to add some of my favorite ingredients!

Perfect Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
This pie is so easy to make! I don't always make the crust and use store bought depending on the time I have. I also sometimes add a crumble mixture to the top.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
This cheesecake was delicious. It just took me way longer the cook than instructed. I used a 9 inch spring form pan and the batter pretty much filled it up. With such a tall cheesecake I had to cook about 20 mintues more than listed.

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
This was probably the RICHEST cake I've ever made. I didn't like the idea of peanut butter cake AND peanut butter frosting so I made a chocolate cake and used the frosting recipe. It made a perfect marriage of two great flavors. I had my 1/3 cup of heavy cream but it just didn't seem like enough so I added fat free milk to get the consistancy I needed to decorate my cake. Worked great! I wanted to add the chocolate drizzle like the pictures and used Hershey syrup. This was no good. It was too runny and glossy. Next time I will use hard shell used for ice cream or just make some ganache. Hershey's was just the lazy solution.

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
I made this for my husbands birthday because he was tired of cake. This dessert was well received, everyone LOVED it! I took the advise of another review and added a chocolate layer under the cream. It was a beautiful addition.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
Not a good crust for fruit pies. I tried it with rhubarb pie but the dough couldn't be rolled out to make a top crust, it just kept falling apart.
