Scalloped Pork Chop Combo

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Delicious and easy! Took others advise and cut down water to 1-1/2 cups. Great consistency. Got a little heavy handed w/ Worchestershire sauce (maybe 1-1/2 tsps) and it was great. Also, I added black pepper to tops of pork chops. Baked for 30 minutes w/ cover, then 10 more uncovered. Will definitely make again.

Simple and Delicious Beet Greens

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Delicious!!! I used ground cayenne pepper and 4 cloves of garlic (the more the better) and it was a huge hit at the dinner table! We will definitely use this recipe again. We'll try this method with other greens as well. It's a keeper. THANK YOU!

Wonderful frosting that I remember my mom making. Love the consistency and you can change flavor with just extracts. One of my new/old favorites.

Egg and Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
Delicious! After reading all reviews, I made following changes: 4 eggs as I only made 1/2 recipe; used cheddar and pepper jack cheeses; and added about 1/2 tspn of seasonings. Made into 8x8 inch pan for about 35 minutes. Very easy and tasty. Kitchen smelled great while it was cooking. Very versitile recipe and can use many combinations as other reviewers suggested!!! Will definitely make again. A+

This has become our family's favorite dish. The kids all ask me to make extra. Great side dish but I've used as a dessert also.

Turkey Thighs in Brown Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
Delicious! Added extra garlic and had 1/2 amount of mushrooms. Next time I'll use entire amount as they were really good in brown sauce. Took about 20 minutes longer to cook thighs because they were pretty big. I'm going to try this recipe with chicken next time and make pasta as a side dish. Tasted almost "marsala" like. Huge hit at our house. It's a keeper; going into the recipe box!!!

Thanksgiving Beets

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Great way to serve fresh beets. I'm not a huge beet lover and this recipe won me over. Maybe a little sweet so next time I'll try using 2 Tbsp of brown sugar. I had enough to freeze so I'm going to try out that method as well (only 2 of us). I used 3 different kinds of beets (1 each of red, white and red/white) so don't know if that made a difference regarding the sweetness. I'm going to share this with my friends who grow beets in their home gardens. Thank you for the recipe.

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
Delicious!!! I used Moscato because I had it and fresh rosemary from the garden. Next time I may add 1/4 cup more wine because I want more sauce. Will definitely make again and again.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2013
I made this exactly like the recipe and it was outstanding! My husband said "my only input is don't change a thing. It was perfect." So there ya go! It was for two people but if I was making for any more I would double the gravy but for two it was just the right amount. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!!

Tartar Sauce III

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
Great basic recipe. First time making tartar sauce and am very pleased with results! Fish coming out of oven in about 10 minutes and we're looking forward to slathering with this delicious sauce! No more store bought tartar sauce for us. Next time maybe I'll try the dill or other ingredients other reviewers suggested. Thank you!

Simple Baked Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
These were delicious! I baked for an additional hour because I don't like my beans runny. Probably could have gotten away with 1/2 hour. Very rich, southern flavor. Everyone devoured them. Great recipe!!!

Chef John's Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 27, 2013
Perfect! After reading reviews I contemplated adding vanilla but did not. Only change was I used 1-1/2 tsp of lemon zest because that was all I had. They are not very sweet and more like cake. That is what I like about them. I wanted something I could warm and slather with butter. Next time I may sprinkle with sugar just to get a different look but other than that, these were delicious!! I'm glad I put this recipe in my recipe box. Definitely make these again!! Thanks for the recipe Chef John!

Linguine with Chicken and Sauteed Vegetables

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
This was great! My boyfriend doesn't like pasta and I (the cook) LOVE pasta. He said this was the best pasta ever. He isn't into gravy or sauces so this was perfect with the garlic oil coating the pasta. I used fettucini because I had it on hand but you can really use any pasta and any vegetables. Very versatile recipe but the garlic oil and soy sauce make this recipe very delicious. I can't wait to make it for my friends and family. The leftovers were very tasty even cold. THANKS FOR THIS RECIPE JOSIE!!!!

Cherry Crunch

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
I used instant oatmeal instead of rolled oats and it was less crunchy. After baking I put a little more butter on top and broiled for 1 minute. That gave me the crunch I was looking for! Very good flavors; easy dessert and everyone loved it. I can see using the different pie fillings or adding nuts. I think next time I will add coconut because I think Cherry and coconut taste so good together and it would add to the topping. A+ all the way. It's a keeper in the recipe box.
