Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
PERFECT!!! Season however you want. I used a lot of ground sage and a little basil. So good. Double the recipe if you will be serving this for more than 4 or 6 guests. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup olive oil, ground pepper, salt, basil to taste, and dip your bread in this as you eat it. You'd think you're at a restaraunt!

Citrus Mousse

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
I'm giving this a five because I after I modified it, it was great, and all my guests loved it. I suggest 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 cup orange juice. It kind of tastes like those orange push-up pops. I've served it with fruit, and all by itself, and people love it both ways. Serve after a hearty Italian meal for a nice palate cleanser.

Feta Cheese Foldovers

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
I'm giving this recipes five stars because for feta cheese lovers, this recipe is prime. My husband loves these. BUT, feta is a little too strong for me in general, so I could only have a few bites of this. If you can stand the bold flavor of feta, definitely try this recipe.

Alla Checca

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
Great! I made this for a dinner party, and all my guests were so impressed! One idea...use whole-wheat angel hair pasta for a healthy, nutrient-rich main dish, and serve it with homemade foccacia seasoned with ground sage, and a fresh salad with fresh mushrooms and avacado.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
BEST chocolate cake ever. One thing though...you don't have to add the liqueur...use milk, water, more vegetable oil, a combination of the three, or don't sub anything at all. It turns out dense and terrific if you don't sub another liquid. Milk makes it a little fluffier, and more oil makes it more moist. So whatever you want! It will turn out great no matter what.

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2005
This is a great recipe. I'm not very good at making dough that turns out well, but this recipe must be foolproof, because the end result was perfect. I'm a vegetarian, so I just omitted the pepperoni, and if you don't have basil, just sub another Italian-ish seasoning. And don't worry...you can sub any of your favorite shredded cheese for the ricotta cheese (finely shredded works really well). So overall...I recommend this recipe for sure!
