Barbeque Halibut Steaks
Yummy. I used 1 tbsp. honey instead of 2 T. Brown sugar. Otherwise I followed the recipe - did not have time to marinate and it still turned out great. I like that it was not too sweet. Very simple and the grilling made it taste even better.

Easy Mexican Casserole
I guess I am an outlier, because I can't understand how this recipe got such high reviews. It tasted like a heavy baked meat chili. I did add the taco seasoning to the ground beef - otherwise, I followed the recipe. For such a mediocre dish, It also took a long time with the 20 minutes of simmering in salsa, in addition to the 30 minute baking time. Usually the 4 star plus recipes on this site are wonderful, but not so in this case. Hubby usually asks for seconds and I heard zilch, even though I gave him a smaller than usual portion. He's very complimentary if the dish tastes good, but tonight he was politely silent!

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing
Very good recipe. I made a half recipe for our small family. Like many reviewers I added some sesame seed oil for more asian taste. I agree with the reviewer who said to use fresh ingredients - not canned, dried, powdered, etc. I regret putting in the ketchup. It tasted much fresher without it. I tasted it before realizing I forgot to put it in. Next time I will use a little fresh tomato instead, or just skip it. I also added some grated carrot for extra texture but it was not needed. I threw in chunks of the onion and celery and used the small cup of the magic blender. BTW, if you are making a full recipe, use the larger cup.
