Cranberry Orange Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
Made as directed except for rough chopping cranberries with a 1/4 c of sugar before adding to mixture ( using the 1/4 from the 1 cup as to not increase sugar amount)) I will be making this recipe again. Delish !!

Sweet and Sour Pork III

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2013
Loved this recipe! At first I thought it would be tedious with all of the steps but had leftover pork and gave it a try . Only changes in ingredients I made were using a. 20 oz can of pineapple and substituted stevia for 3/4 c sugar. End results were delish! Thank you!

Made this last night for family and friends.......HUGE hit! I only changed 2 things, I used all blackberries and cut back the butter by a 1/4 cup and will probably cut back to a half next time. Very tasty recipe Polly! Thank you

Spicy Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2013
Just finished licking my plate! Delisous recipe and will make again. Only change was my grocery store did not have rice vinegar so I used a splash of white vinegar. Next time I think I will cut back on jalapenos a bit. Really really good!

Blueberry Buckle Pull-Apart Bread

In my humble opinion..... I think it would be better if instead of bisquits yeast rolls were used and way too much sauce for dish.

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
really good recipe, after reading reviews about soggy crust I took white chocolate chips and sprinkled them on top until soft & melted. The melted chocolate will create a barrier on crust. Using a spatula to skim melted chocolate over entire top , the crust had a thin layer of crisp hard chocolate. This step created a barrier and pizza never got to the soggy point even being left out for a few hours.

Lemon Curd

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
excellent recipe, I have made it twice but the cook time for me was a lot longer than 15 minutes. Served lemon curd with Grandma Johnson's scone recipe from this site. I always split dough in half and make 2 flavors....maple walnut, cranberry orange, blueberry and vanilla bean.

Mojo Grilling Marinade

used this on thin beef steaks yesterday, I put everything( hot sauce I subbed a jalapeno pepper)in food processor. I didn't come close to using all of the oil, I just added enough to liquify marinade. I marinated all day and then grilled with flour tortillias...........FANTASTIC RECIPE

Beans and Greens

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2012
I sauteed' garlic in oil and then added my dried beans that I soaked over night in water, this GREATLY reduced the sodium content for all you "healthy" reviewers. I simmered until beans were very soft and then I ran my knife thru a large bunch of kale and sprinkled with parmesan cheese..simple and healthy

Mother's Day Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
great pie! I have never made a crust less pie before and was skeptical as to how it would slice out of the plate. The pie cuts were beautiful and it tasted like a giant macaroon. I will make this again when my mom comes to visit. I may trying to reduce the amount of sugar next time. many thanks Jo

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
I have made this recipe twice in a month, both times into 30 cupcakes using #30 scoop. The first time I followed another suggestion and used tiny chips but it was hard to tell they were their. Second time I used larger chips and sprinkled them on top of cupcakes pressing down slightly( I was afraid that chips would sink to bottom) & I also used coffee instead of water. Chips stayed at top and I used less than recipe suggested....it was plenty. Cupcakes stay moist for days as I just traveled with them for my sons birthday. Really great recipe!!!

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
thought turkey was a little salty at first so I will cut back on salt next time.( my fault for not adjusting with a 15 lb bird) My hubby loved it and I even took the carcass and all the cooking veggies and made a really great turkey stock for soup. The herbs, wine and veggies gave stock a wonderful flavor without adding anything!
