Boston Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
I used a yellow cake mix, but made the custard filling and the frosting per directions in recipe and it was wonderful! Next time, I'll double up on the custard and the frosting or just make the cake layers thinner, but this cake tasted just what I was craving. I will be making this recipe again!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
Very easy recipe, and my husband like it. Next time I'll add more cheese, as we couldn't really taste any cheese. I'll also try baking it a little lower temp for longer, as the chicken was very dry.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2011
These are the best muffins I've ever made!! So moist...everyone LOVED these muffins. Easy recipe. Instead of using instant coffee, I just put in 3 TB of regular coffee I had already brewed. It turned out perfect! Will be making this again and again...

Vera Cruz Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
My husband and I LOVED these stuffed tomatoes! I've never made anything like it before, so I was a little nervous, but they turned out GREAT! Something I changed to save time was I didn't use fresh bacon. I just sprayed a small pan with cooking spray and threw the onions and spinach in the pan and then added about 1/4 cup of Hormel Real Bacon bits. Then I sprinkled some on top of the cheese when I took it out of the oven. It tasted great!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
This was the best chicken I've ever made! Will be making this again, for sure. I didn't wrap it up in plastic the night before. I just put it in a pan with a lid. The crust turned out crunchy. I think that next time I will do the plastic thing, just to see if it makes a difference. My whole family loved this recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2011
I've made this many times before, but with other recipes. This recipe is by far the best I've made. One thing I did differently was I added more Frank's Red Hot Sauce than what the recipe called for, maybe 1/4 cup more.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
A couple times a year I make a soup that calls for some kale, but I never end up using it all. So I tried this recipe, and it turned out great! My husband and kids didn't like it, though. But I probably will make them again just for myself the next time I have left over kale. Thanks!

Fatoosh

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
GREAT recipe!!! My husband and I love Mediterranean food, and this salad tastes just like the kind we love from our favorite restaurant. I could not find sumac spice, and I think it would have added more flavoring. Next time, I am going to use store bought pita chips and make the dressing a few hours in advance to let the flavors mix. Also, I'm going to get some sumac spice. Will be making this again!!! Thanks!!

Mediterranean Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
GREAT recipe!! My husband and I loved the flavors and it was so easy. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts, and it still was great. I think next time I will marinade the chicken in the dressing overnight and try to grill it. Will be making this recipe again!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
These fries were great! Very easy to make make, too. I cut the wedges pretty thin because I was pressed for time and wanted them to cook faster. I reduced the heat a little and they came out perfect! I did sprinkle some salt on them when they came out of the oven. For those who said it wasn't spicy enough, I wonder if they were thinking of spicy as in spicy hot. The seasoning was did not make them spicy hot, but my husband and I loved the flavor of the spices on the crispy potato wedges. We will be making this again!!

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving when I realized too late I didn't have enough pie pans to make my pecan pie. It was a great substitution, and I almost liked it better pecan pie!
