White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2014
This was really tasty, I was hesitant neverr having white chili but followed suggestions and did half the cinnamon and two and a half cups of broth, and added a small bit of cornstarch to thicken ,, served with cilantro, cheese and sour cream on the side,, I'd make it again

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
OK,, super easy and unbelievable ! Made this last nite and we couldn't even wait till it cooled down to taste it because the smell was making our mouths water,, I did toss the apples with a drop of cinnamon only cause I love it but I don't think it even needed it once it was done and we ate it,, the sugar mixture is definitely what makes it,, my first pie I made and I won't even look for a different recipe. This is definitely the one to use,,

Gorgonzola Stuffed Chicken Breasts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2014
Tried this tonite but being I already had thin sliced cutlets I had to improvise,, the only difference I had to do was to somehow keep the filling inside so I put the Gorgonzola mixture wrapped in a slice of ham then rolled and then rolled the bacon around it,,browned the bacon on all sides in an oven safe skillet then popped it in the oven for 30 min,, took it out and put it on a screen to broil the bacon crisp,, in the pan I emptied most of the oil then added a pat of butter and 1/4 cup chicken stock to reglaze pan then added the leftover Gorgonzola,,drizzled over the chicken and white rice,, very tasty,, definitely will make again,,

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
Tried this tonite, the only difference was I used boneless breasts and used eggbeaters instead of eggs,, which I think helped the coating stick much better to the cutlets,, very tasty,, not overpowering garlic flavor, just right,, daughter gave it four stars and boyfriend gave it five,, I will average it to four and a half :) I did omit the salt being the cheese is salty and it was just right Plus I didn't have to stand over it and watch it,, I turned it over halfway thru then broiled it for about three minutes just to crisp up the breading,, definitely a keeper,, thanks for sharing

Halibut Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
i have to say while cooking it smelled delicious,, however when we ate it it just wasnt good,, something about the consistancy of the topping or how it made the fish very fishy tasting,, i cant quite explain what it was exactly,, if it would have tasted how it smelled it would have been great,, but we just didnt like it,, thanks anyway

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
I love balsamic vinegar but didnt want it overpowering so as others suggested i cut the vinegar just a bit and added some chicken stock to it,, this was really really good,,, i did also dredge the chicken in flour since i like the way it will thicken the sauce a bit otherwise did the recipe exact and it was really really great, definitely would make this again,, simple,, one pan,, easy clean up too,, to go overboard with the balsamic i paired it with balsamic braised red cabbage,, great meal !!

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2013
the flavor of the chicken was really tasty,, next time i may scoop some of the liquid out, put it in a saucepan and make a thicker gravy with it, i think shortening the time to possibly six hours may help the texture of the chicken but that is usually what happens with chicken in the crock pot,, flavorwise though this was really really good

Cheesy Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
i was really surprised at this one,, i usually dont put reviews on here. i used lactose free milk ( since i cant have heavy cream) and thickened it with flour and cornstarch, and did add some red pepper flakes,, served it over bowtie pasta,, it was really pretty good,, i did add some frozen peas and a can of diced fire roasted tomatoes for color and flavor,, i would make it again just like that,, maybe just add a bit to the milk/flour mixture for more sauce.
