Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
8 minutes was perfect for baking. Clove was still very strong even though I halved it based on another reviewer's comments. Easy to make, but I thought average taste.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Good, but a little dry (perhaps I baked too long).

Cherry Cheese Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Awesome! Friends really liked it. I used a chocolate oreo crust and then crushed one on top. Agree that it is a cheese pie (not cheesecake). Great recipe.

Baked Apricot Chicken

Very easy, good recipe. Next time I may try on chicken breasts or on the grill.

Bertolli Classico Asparagus Saute

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Easy, delicious recipe. Any good olive oil will do though. Next time I will add the garlic after I put the asparagus in as it seemed to brown quickly.

Spinach Bacon Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Great taste--held up well. I used five eggs and reduced the milk from 2 cups to 1 1/2 cups. Didn't have bacon on hand and it was still tasty. If you're going to make it for picky eaters, reduce the spinach by half as it was loaded with spinach (which I love).

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
My mom used to make this when I was growing up and I remembered it fondly. I gave it four stars as the canned frosting was just overly sweet. I tried the suggested chocolate sauce in a few reviewers' comments and it was amazing! I'll use that sauce recipe for other things as well.

Blueberry Coffee Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Based on the original recipe, I gave it 3 stars. Good flavor but no wow factor. Bundt pan seems too big for volume of cake. All streusel (which was way too much) on the bottom of a bundt seems odd.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Delicious! I added chocolate chips and pecans while on the griddle. Added raisins for picky-eater son. The whole family ate them up!

Delicious! I used cornflakes instead of bread crumbs and pecans for the nuts.

Caramel Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Delicious!!! Great way to use up apples from apple picking. I substituted applesauce for half the oil and brown sugar for half of the sugar. The glaze was decadent! Next time I'll wait a few minutes before I pour over the cake. Also, only need to make half the glaze. The rest of the glaze I saved for ice cream topping.

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
Really good applesauce! Great recipe for having just gone apple picking. I used both red and golden apples. Did not add any sugar as it already tasted sweet. Added apple pie spice instead of pumpkin. Nice flavor and texture.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
My family and I enjoyed this very much. We didn't frost it as it was good plain. Gave it a 4 as the bottom seemed oily as opposed to being overly moist. Will make again, but plan to substitute some applesauce for oil and some brown sugar for the white sugar.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
Awesome! Got rave reviews from the family. Delicious crunch to the crust needs no frosting. Dusted lightly with powdered sugar (mostly to hide imperfections from baking). I served it with macerated berries. Will definitely make again--no changes necessary.

Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Very tasty--I used more cornflakes and only half a pkg of onion soup based on former reviews. Could still taste a lot of the onion flavor. The kids even liked it!
