Zucchini Gingerbread

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Great recipe! I used buttercup squash from my garden in place of the zucchini and it was delicious! I also tried this bread with sour cream in place of the yogurt and added pure vanilla extract (I did not have vanilla yogurt on hand) and it was just as good. I omitted the cloves, I don't care for their overpowering taste. Great versatile recipe!

Spicy Salmon with Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Yummy, my husband and 5 year old loved this! I am not to keen on pan frying the salmon, but it was very tasty and full of flavor. The salmon was a little dry, I may have over cooked it though. I will definitely try this again.

Creamed Chicken over Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Good recipe. I used homemade chicken stock for the water and omitted the bouillon cube, and added a few extra ingredients (sauteed onions and garlic in the butter before adding the flour). Versatile recipe.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Great cookies! I added the extra ingredients and they were a hit. The butter seems excessive but the flavor is really worth trying at least once :)

Cabbage Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Yummy! My family loved this. I added shredded carrots and hot sauce for a little spice. Great way to add extra veggies to your plate. You also don't need a whole lot of meat for this dish so it is very affordable.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
This recipe was so so. Pudding is not the answer for super soft chewy cookies. I love baking cookies, so I decided to give this one a try. I will stick to my old recipe. These lacked flavor, and were definitely missing something. They tasted like cake-cookies, not that genuine chewiness you would look for in a cookie. They were like fluffy cakes with minimal flavor. If you try this one, be sure to read the other reviews and adjust for better flavor. I would definitely agree that this cookie needed much more vanilla extract. I

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
Good recipe. Sauce was a little bland, tasted kind of like a can. I added about a tablespoon of sugar total, and some fresh basil from the garden instead of dried basil.
