This is one of my favorite recipes, I've made Chinese sweet/sour for years and this is almost the same recipe from my Chinese cookbook. I can say the only change is enough catsup to color and flavor the sauce, about 1/4C I also used apple cider vinegar. I've done this recipe with chicken, pork and spareribs (baked in the oven)...all excellent!! One more idea here, I always cut up diagonal carrots, celery, green peppers, onion and garlic, stirfry then add the sauce already mixed in a measuring cup. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Sheila.
