PDQ Hot Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2014
I think the "chili Sauce" in this recipe refers to a sauce that comes in a bottle (Heinz) and not the type of chili sauce that one would use for hot dogs. That would make a big difference in the outcome of this recipe. The bottled sauce is more like ketchup or seafood sauce than chili.

Allie's Mushroom Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Since I don't like pizza sauce, this is perfect. I do, however, add some peeled, seeded & diced tomato to this. It is great.

Pimento Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Well...I halved the recipe & only used about a tablespoon of grated onion, which was PLENTY. I also used 3-4 tablespoons of mayo. One tblsp. would not bind a whole pound of cheese together for sure. I cannot imagine using a whole large onion in this. In 4 pounds of cheese...maybe. It was pretty good. Oh and I grilled it. That made it better.

Lemon Chicken Dijon

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
One person commented on the lack of salt in this recipe. You have to be careful adding salt when you use cooking wine as it is salty. Good recipe.

Pretty good. Will make again probably with a few adjustments.

Chicken Thighs Surprise

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
The only change I made to this recipe was to use plain soup (no herbs). We just didn't care for it. Adult daughter, husband & I all agreed this was not worth preparing again. Grandkids, who eat most things, wouldn't take a second bite. Gross waste of good eggplant. Definitely a loser.

My husband and I both loved this recipe. Will definitely make this again.

Super Easy Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This was very good. I only had 2 1/2 lbs. of gr. beef & I did add a small can of tomato sauce and a generous dash of Paula Deen's House Seasoning. That fixes anything! It was just right.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
This is very good. Very spicy, so next time I will only use 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper. Was almost to hot for me to eat.

Moroccan Salmon Cakes with Garlic Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
The garlic mayo was great, but the cakes were not worth the time it took to make them. Just something to eat. A waste of good ingredients.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
This recipe was very good, though my husband thought it was too heavy on the basil. I used substitued olive oil for the vegetable oil and omitted the feta cheese since I really dislike it. I also seasoned it with Paula Deen's House Seasoning. It was excellent.

Anytime Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
This is very good. In response to some cooks, you do not add water. Also draining the fruit well, especially the pineapple, makes it just the right consistancy. No soupy mess. Our family loves this.

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
This is a very quick, easy dish. Tastes good, but because I used extra lean beef, was a little dry. To alleviate that, I will add a little chicken broth next time. Also could only find 6 ounce cornbread mix & that was enough. Did add more milk to the mix also, because it was so thick.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2003
This is a great soup recipe. The only change I made to this soup was to use one can of cream of chicken soup in place of one can of the broth. I have used both canned chicken and fresh and they are both good.

Chicken a la Mayo

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2003
We really liked this recipe. I made no changes to the recipe. The only thing I did do was to increase the amount of corn flake crumbs to coat the chicken. Also, I think the mayo mixture would make a great sandwich spread. My husband loves tomato sandwiches when the tomatoes are fresh & I can't wait for him to try this.

Orange Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2003
For those of you who don't like the look of dressing made with balsamic vinegar, there is white balsamic vinegar. It is sometimes hard to find, but that is what we use and what we prefer. Hope this helps.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2003
This is the second time I have rated this dish. I have accidentally used whole eggs and can tell absolutely no difference in the outcome. I also only use a portion of the bread crumb mixture and save the leftover for pork chops or any other cut of meat you wish. It is good on anything.

Blackberry BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2002
My family loves this sauce. To combat the excess in ketchup, just add more preserves and we also add a little honey. This is our favorite barbeque sauce.
