Round Steak and Gravy II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Loved this gravy. Added garlic powder, onion powder, black and red pepper to one can of cream of mushroom soup, a packet of onion soup mix, about a can of water and a touch of milk. Toward the end I did add a couple tablespoons of flour mixed with a bit of water due to wanting a thicker gravy. Will be using for other cuts of meat as well. Thanks!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
This was very good. I preferred it after it sat in the refrigerator and the flavors blended. I thought there was a little much of the lime juice, salt, and cilantro for my taste but would definitely make again.

Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
I've never done a tater tot casserole and was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out. I added some minced garlic while cooking the ground beef and onions. I left out the ketchup but added frozen chopped broccoli for the beef, soup and worcestershire mixture and also added a layer of velveeta before covering completely with tater tots. Perfect fit for a full 9x9 square. Will be making again. Thanks!

Double Cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I halved the recipe for 2. Added chopped white and green onion I had left from another dish as well as minced garlic salt and pepper on each layer of potatoes. Added a thin layer of shredded cheese in layers of potatoes. Mixed parmesan cheese and bread crumbs for topping. After an hour some of the potatoes were a little under done, but I hand sliced and I'm sure was not consistant on thickness of potatoes. Next time I'd add a little more cheddar cheese and pepper in layers of potatoes instead of on top. Enjoyed.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
We thought this was really good, we used fresh garlic and some chopped onion as well as the powder. We also did the gravy with pan leftovers and put over egg noodles. Very yummy, thanks!

Tex-Mex Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I made this according to recipe with a few slight changes....cooked quinoa in beef broth, used black beans, and left out the cheese. I enjoyed this both warm and cold but have to say I preferred it warm. Will make again with some more changes according to my tastes.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I enjoyed this warmed up the next day more than freshly cooked. A different twist on the chili I am used to. Will try again.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Quite easy and tasted good. I added additional seasoning to my breadcrumb/parmesan mixture as some reviews suggested.

Beef Roast in Red Wine (Carni Arrosto al Vino Rosso)

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
Not one of my favorite roast recipes. Boyfriend and guest liked it more than I. All I could taste was wine and wish I could have tasted some other spices as well.

Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2011
Good recipe, I thought these were quite bland for my taste though. I used regular chopped onion, and added minced garlic, chopped pepper, and 2 jalepenos. I also think I needed to put more of the sauce/cheese mixture inside wraps. I will probably try again with some more adjustments.
