Cheater Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
I really like this syrup. I've been making it for over a year now. I made it the first time because I was making pancakes and realized I was out of syrup. My kids loved it so I haven't bought syrup since! I store it in an old Mrs. Butterworths bottle in the fridge. Sometimes it crystalizes a bit but with 3 kids the syrup is usually eaten up before it's an issue. I found natural maple extract/flavoring that I use.

LuvAnn's Guacamole

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
Very, very good! I followed recipe exactly. After it sat in my refer for a couple of hours I tasted it and felt it needed a bit of sugar to help balance the flavors. 1/2 teaspoon did te trick. This is a keeper!!!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
This is a keeper. I added vanilla because I never leave it out of a cookie recipe. I also added chocolate chips. Baked for 8-9 min in convection oven. Moist and wonderful!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2002
I decided to give this recipe 5 stars because of how easy it is to prepare and how flavorful it is despite my following suggestions: This dish is very salty. Next time I plan on using low sodium soup and a little less of the dressing mix. I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs. This recipe is very easy to vary. Try Marsala wine. Add veggies. Would be great with shrimp instead of chicken. This recipe is a keeper or my family.

Cappuccino in a Jar

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2002
I thought this was delicious. For Christmas I put the mix in little jelly jars and tied with raffia and added a pretty lable I made on the computer. I added it to little gift boxes with biscotti and loaf of fresh bread (see Fabulous Homemade Bread). Perfect for teachers! My sons teacher even called during the holiday break and asked for the recipe.

This is pretty to have sitting out at a party and like the recipe author said, it is nice in gift trays/baskets. A little bit goes a long way.

Gingerbread Cookie Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2002
I made this for Christmas gifts. I added a little copper cookie-cutter tied on with raffia. I baked some myself to be sure it was good and they turned out great! I will likely make them again this year!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2002
This is fool proof. I loved it. I find that recipes like this are only as good as your BBQ sauce, and everyone has different opinions about how a BBQ sauce should be. Use your favorite sauce and you will love this recipe!

Fabulous Homemade Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2002
I like this recipe. I make it in my Kitchenaid mixer. It is easy to make substitutions and different variations. I'll add ground flax seed, and/or a bit of soy flour, sunflower seeds, or just make it with plain white flour. I found that it only makes 4 loaves, in my pans.

Frog Eye Salad

This is one of my favorite salads. The only negative thing I can say is that I can't stop eating it and I make myself sick on it!
