Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Very good recipe- easy to modify (I had some broccoli to use up that I threw in and I cut up the chicken) and made great left overs. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for a great recipe. I had bars like this years ago and was looking for the recipe since. I think the original ones I had used Golden Grahams cereal but the Special K was great too. Made a wonderful contribution to the bake sale!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

As my husband well said "This soup kick butt. With numchucks!" I made a few changes to accommodate my supplies on hand. I had to use up some tomatoes pronto so I put in 2 chopped romas. Also, I had a 1/2 lb of ground pork that I threw in. Didn't have cayenne so I added a few more dashes of hot sauce. I deseeded two of the four peppers to reduce the heat a little (my poor sister STILL thought it was too spicy!! I thought it was perfect). I also used fresh garlic instead of the garlic powder. Served up with chopped cilantro, diced onion, and irish cheddar cheese. SOOOOO yummy. Enjoy!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

This was one of the most fantastic pies I have ever made. Thank you so much for the recipe. There were a few changes that I had to make. First, it's october so I had to use frozen rhubarb. I did thaw it first. Next, I used a lattice top on the pie instead of a solid sheet of dough. I served it with a fresh amaretto whipped cream. Thanks again, I will definitly use this again.

Chicken Korma II

This recipe made a nice curry but it WASN'T chicken korma. I've had real korma at more indian restraunts than i can count; there are always subtle variations in it but in general, a certain taste that always makes it chicken korma wasn't present in this recipe. I made a few changes to it that helped, but the end result was a nice Indian inspired curry, not korma. I suggest adding a tablespoon of mango chutney stirred in at the end, a 1/4 C of sugar, and a bit more garam masala than called for. I probably will not make this recipe again.

Chewy Cocoa Brownies

The verdict: Yes, very chewy, but not a make again recipes. I actually thought the brownies were TOO chewy, which i didn't think was possible. The flavor was very good and rich. They were a bit too much like 'fudge' and not enough like brownies. I'll keep looking for a happy medium. Something chewy but I guess I want more cake like afterall.
