Easy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2001
Recipe states 35 minutes for cooking but mine had barely started cooking at that point. After all was said and done, it was an hour and 15 minutes before the potatoes were tender. Flavor is good.

BBQ Salmon over Mixed Greens

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
I made the salmon (minus the greens and vinaigrette) and my family proclaimed "this is one of the best dinners you've ever made". There was not a smidge of salmon leftover...every morsel was eaten.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: May 17, 2002
Pretty good. Kids weren't crazy about it. I failed to use a 'mild' taco seasoning so it was a bit spicy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2002
A+++ recipe. I used chocolate creme filled Oreos and bought Dairy Queen soft serve for the 2 quarts of ice cream. I family declared the cake was better than Dairy Queen's....not to mention about $10 cheaper!!!

California Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2002
Killer! I made it without the chicken and it was incredibly good. Will definitely make again and again. As a side note, this dish is extremely spicy with the 2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning - you may want to adjust if you don't like it too spicy.

Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2003
I made 10 dozen for an event at my 14 year old daughter's school. She said the boys declared they were the best cookie they'd ever had (you know it's important what the boys think). I used vanilla pudding and excluded the nuts. A definite winner.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2003
Oh my gosh...this is an outstanding recipe. My daughter and I picked blueberries this morning and I made it tonight. My family devoured it. My husband happened to accidentally drop his second helping on the floor and I thought he was going to cry. Vanilla ice cream on top is the way to go. Thanks for the recipe!! I will make again and again!

Good texture and flavor. Took them to work and all enjoyed. Had a difficult time finding hazelnuts..in fact, never found them. Substituted almonds and flavor was good.

Excellent flavor. The Udon noodles really do make the difference (I found them at my local Health Food Store). Really really good.

A++++ recipe. No kidding. Had my mother-in-law over for dinner and she couldn't stop raving. What more is there to be said if your mother-in-law loves it? Thanks for recipe - very unique. Will definitely make again.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
This recipe is just like the Cooking Light recipe. It is fantastic. Be sure to brown the butter though - it gives it a nutty flavor. Who ever would have thought to bake asparagus? You'll never boil it again after eating it this way!

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This is a really really good recipe. My teenage daughter passed on going out with friends because of the smell coming from the slow cooker - she didn't want to miss out on the dinner it smelled so good! I used sharp cheese - doubled it and the ham. A bit on the salty side but all-in-all a very good recipe. Will make again.

Baked Omelet

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
A+++ recipe. In fact, I'd say this is one of the best recipes I've gotten from this website. Instead of ham, I used thick sliced turkey. I also used sharp cheddar which gave it great flavor. Be sure to add the minced onion as it did give it that extra flavor (I halved the amount of minced onion but still gave it that zip). Thank you for making Christmas morning breakfast special for our family!
