Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
A really great basic crouton recipe. It's hard not to eat these straight from the oven haha. Definitely helps to make the flavours pop in a good caesar salad.

Salmon Patties II

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
This is the way my Great Grandma used to make her salmon patties and boy have I missed them! A fantastically simple Southern recipe. Now if I could just make up some biscuits to go with them :) Thanks Del and Dad!

Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
My husband, who normally rarely eats dessert, loves this cake. The only thing I change is that I add a dash of lemon essence to the cake mix and then do a lemon juice/butter/iccing sugar glaze. It has become a staple around our house.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
With no changes at all, this was the best batch of peanut butter cookies I've ever tasted. Super easy, even for children and the ingredients are always on hand in my house.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
This soup was amazing! My husband raved about it. I followed the other suggestions and doubled the vegetables and cheese. Instead of one bag of broccoli, I added one broccoli and one cauliflower. I reduced the amount of stock by 2 cups and added 2 cups of dry chardonnay instead. Gave it a wonderful flavor. Beat it all up w/ a hand blender for smoothness. Served it with fresh buttered crusty bread. Yum-O!

Orange Fluff I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
My grandmother made this when I was a child and I loved it, so I was thrilled when I found the recipe on here. It's brought back very fond memories for me. The only thing I change is to blend the cottage cheese in a small food processor before hand, to get rid of the lumpy texture (but that may not bother some people). A very tasty treat for a warm summer day :)

Pepperoni Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
My cousin made this for a family function and it was a huge hit! She makes it in a small (dip size) crockpot and it keeps it warm the whole time. Highly recommended.

Fettucine Carbonara

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2004
You can't go wrong w/ this easy carbonara recipe. My 6 yr old requests this dish once a week. I tend to broil the bacon while I'm waiting for the noodles to cook, as it just cuts down on time (and makes crispy bacon w/out the greasy mess!)

Stuffed Sourdough Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2004
This was absolutely fantastic! Added just a bit of chopped pepperoni for an extra bite and followed the other suggestion of cooking it at 350 for 30 minutes (those big cubes of monterrey jack take a bit to melt). My family absolutely Loved it. Will definitely be making it for the next party I attend.

Baked Apples

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2004
I like this recipe alot, but did change a few things. I softened the butter, stirred it up w/ brown sugar and sultanas (raisins). Then cored the apples all the way through and stuffed them w/ the mixture. Wrapped each one up seperately w/ aluminum foil to keep it from running. Did have to cook it a bit longer (about 25 mins total), but w/ them wrapped in foil, they were much softer than normal - which is how I like them :) My hubby *loves* it w/ vanilla ice cream and its a fun dish for my daughter to help with.

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2001
This is one of my all time favorite recipes. I had it in the past, and misplaced it when I moved. Luckily, I found it here. My daughter and boyfriend both love this one! And it is so easy to prepare, makes time for doing the more enjoyable things in life =)
