Mom's Mozzarella Chicken for Drew

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2013
Seasoned chicken with an Italian mix of herbs and spices, then marinated for a couple hours in Italian dressing because I didn't have chicken broth on hand. Otherwise, followed this recipe as published and was so quick and easy that I will now be making this a weekly staple! Thanks for a great share!!

Holiday Apple Side Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Made without the beans, and with 1 large red apple (was the only kind I had), regular seedless red grapes and added 1/4 cup of chopped orange bell pepper. Also, did not have Miracle Whip so used just a few tablespoons of light caeser dressing and this was a great side! Thanks for a simple, tasty and versatile side dish (will probably be a new snack for me too)!

Simmered 20 minutes, didn't have applesauce so used regular BBQ but I must try this with given sauce recipe!

Honey Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
I took a chance & baked this dish with large chicken breasts (unflattened) in this sauce but followed all other directions as is, baked at 375 F for 1 hour - juicy, tasty and easy! Must cover baking dish. I can't wait to to marinade my chicken next time - not for too long though, the acidity from the pineapple tenderizes chicken fast!

Italian Turkey Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
This recipe was good and simple. I used regular butter and I tweaked the amount of herbs to my liking (multiplied by 3!), although he still knew it was ground turkey. :-P

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
I like more than a teaspoon when serving 6 so I tripled the amount of spices and almost doubled the amount of dressing. This came out very tasty, thank you!

Creamy Crab and Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
Quick and easy! I made half of everything as published and it was all just the right amount. Must rinse pasta in cold water before mixing it up to serve chilled! I love dill so I added more and also added peas! Going to add cheese, chopped up bacon and maybe some sauteed celery to the leftovers too, yummmy!! :-) Thank you for this simply yet truly creamy base, I'm going to try this recipe with chicken and tuna!!!

Awesome Crab Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Good soup but I didn't have half & half cream, I substituted 2 heaping tablespoons butter & a little less than 1 cup milk. Omitted hot sauce & salt. Used 1.25 OZ country gravy mix because it seemed like it tasted too much like gravy at first but after it cooled down, I barely tasted hints of chicken broth & wine, still tasted the gravy strongly. Next time, I will add more milk & butter or buy half & half cream, and I want to try less gravy and regular chicken gravy, definitely add some chopped onion & garlic because after tasting my almost originally published end result, I craved more flavors so I added a dash of onion & garlic powder & what a difference!

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
I used this recipe baking an Idaho potato at 375*F for 90 minutes and I liked it better baked at 375*F than I do baked it at 300*F.

Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
Must rub pesto into chicken! Lacking the prosciutto & only having boneless skinless chicken tenders, I wrapped & substituted solely ham slices w/some tender strips & solely hard salami slices for the rest; I liked ham better. Can't wait to try this w/prosciutto, thank you for sharing this fairly quick, easy recipe! 5 stars w/pesto rub & 1 slice of provolone cheese (many white Italian cheese would go well with this dish)!

Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
4 stars after I added almost half cup more of milk. Only other thing I changed was substituting condensed cream of celery soup in place of condensed cream of mushroom soup, with a flavorful end result, thank you!

Spicy Beanless Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
2nd time making- Substituted ginger ale for water because it's tasty & I didn't have brown sugar and I added cinnamon, YUM! 1st time making- Didn't use tomato juice, the amount of tomato sauce plus water was more than enough liquid for my liking. It looks like too much water at first but as long as we simmer this uncovered, it evaporates just enough. Tasty chili, thank you for sharing!

Classic Pub Style Nachos

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
I left out the olive oil since I used prepared salsa, which made chips soggy so I will only be using salsa for dipping or topping after baking chips! I modified this by adding orange bell pepper and using a shredded mexican cheese blend, green onions and only a few tablespoons of parsley. Thanks for a simple yet great tasting meatless nacho recipe!

Tuna Noodle Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
I doubled the amount of noodles for a more pasta-like dish instead of stew and this turned out good, onion definitely helped balance out very celery flavored dish. I also added a dash of garlic powder and oregano with a few drops of mustard.
