Creamy Lemon Dressing

Reviewed: May 24, 2013
I changed this recipe to make it healthier, and it was still delicious. I didn't add salt, I only used 1 tbs EVOO and I used 1/2 cup of plain non-fat regular yogurt(not greek)instead of sour cream. This cut the fat by 70% and the consistency stayed the same since regular fat-free yogurt is runnier than sour cream, thus less oil is necessary. I served right away, without refrigerating.

This was okay, not spectacular. Not enough flavour.

Apple Cake V

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
This is one of my favourite cake recipes. I substitute half of the oil for unsweetened apple sauce and omit the walnuts. I make my own icing (a maple buttercream one), then I drizzle smuckers caramel sauce and sprinkle skor bits on top. It is to die for!

Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
when making this, i saute oil, garlic, mushrooms and onions in a pan and add it to the soup mixture. Also, i use mushroom soup and add white wine instead of water. its delish and a really easy minimal-prep recipe. i use it as a "dinner party go to" dish.

Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
i love this recipe and my friends are still talking about it months after i made it for them! My substitutions: lemon cake instead of yellow, and 2 tablespoons of lemon extract and the zest of 1 lemon (instead of leamon extract). this cake turns out to the PERFECT consistency- moist and fluffy.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
these were good! I used red potatoes and I had to make it without marjoram and dill weed (didn't have any). Maybe it would have been SPECTACULAR with these, who knows? I think next time I'm going to broil for a bit too. The potatoes weren't crispy enough.

Devil's Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
wow. this was the best steak sauce i've ever tasted and this will be my go-to recipe for the rest of my LIFE! I was out of tomato sauce, so i used ketchup... and i used apple cider vinegar instead of malt. I was so skeptical about the raspberry jam, but that really is the "magical" ingredient.

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
such a good recipe. served it with 'drunken strawberries' on top (cut up a quart of strawberries, add 1/4 cup grand marnier and 1/4 cup sugar, mix in a bowl and leave overnight). delish.
