Beef Stroganoff Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
This recipe is very tasty. You take an ordinary dish and made it even better. My husband decided to sprinkle some "Louisiana Hot Sauce" on it and it just got better. It gave it a whole new taste. I will certainly try it again.

Cheese Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2002
This is a very good soup. But to make it easier, I used a large can of Veg-all. I would definitly make this again.

Cola Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2002
This recipe was pretty sweet. I added more broth and garlic salt. I also added worchestire sauce and balsamic vinegar. I served over rice. It wound up being very good. My mom loved it, too.

Colorful Tossed Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2002
This is a very good salad. By accident, I bought red grape juice and used red wine vinegar. It just made it that much prettier and better. I made this for Christmas. It was a hit.

Caramel Apple Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2003
This has to be one of the best apple pies I have tasted. I cut the white sugar in half and it was perfect. It wasn't runny at all. This was also my first time to make an apple pie. Now it's my favorite pie recipe.

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2004
I made this recipe for New Year's Day and it was put up against my mother's traditional black eyed peas, and these had rave reviews. The leftovers are even better after being in the refrigerator after a day or two and eaten with cornbread. I'll definitely make these again in place of my usual red beans.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2004
This chowder is wonderful. I omited the chilies and addes two small cans of mushrooms to the onion and celery sautee. The gravy mix is a great way to thicken this soup and the Mexican Velvetta not only gave it an extra kick, but it also helped thicken it. Good and rich. Yum!

Mexican Lasagna Chip Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2004
I have made this recipe several times for potluck dinners and parties. And everyone has raved over it. Now, when we have a snack day or a party, everyone will request I make it. So good, you could eat as a meal. And what's so good about it is that it's not your typical dip. Thanks for a good recipe.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
I think this is, by far, the best zucchini bread recipe that I have made so far. I made it just as the recipe calls, but added 1 cup of chopped pecans. Also, when I sprayed the pans with cooking spray, I coated the pans with sugar. You have to scrape a knife in between the pan sides and bread to kinda loosen it, but it give the out side of the bread a sweet, crunchy texture. I brought this to work and it was gone in about an hour. Thanks for a great recipe.

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
I make this for every family gathering, only because they ask for it and it has to be the best mac and cheese I have ever made. The only thing different that I do, is omit the swiss cheese and add 8oz. of cream cheese. It's the best and richest you will ever taste.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
I have been making this recipe for some time now and have never been disapointed. I have occasionally added a can of apple pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture. Makes a whole different kind of dessert.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
This is a great recipe and so easy! I followed as written, except for one thing. I put it in a slow cooker and cooked it on low for about 5-6 hours. The flavors melded together really well. This is a staple at any family function!

Shrimp and Crabmeat Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
This was awsome! I found 7 oz. packages of crabmeat and shrimp at WalMart, so that made it that much easier. Instead of salt and pepper, I used "Slap 'yo Mama" cajun seasoning and baked them open-faced for about 15 min. on 350 degrees. This is a great summer time meal.

Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
Very good! I used white vinegar instead of cider vinegar and added a little more than it asked for and cooked for about 15-20 min. longer. The flavor really went all through it better. I also covered it while cooking and the cabbage was a bit more tender. So far this is my favorite cabbage recipe.

Baked Beans, Texas Ranger

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
This has to be THE best baked bean recipe EVER! Normally, when someone in my family makes baked beans, there are aways leftovers. I made this and really didn't change anything. My husband went back for seconds, and the pan was clean! Perfect for any summer time meal
