Meatiest Vegetarian Chili From Your Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
I added 2 large yukon potatoes and a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar. This was definitely the heartiest and tastiest vegetarian chili I have tried so far. 1/2 cup of oil is not at all necessary, I added less than 2 tablespoons and it was totally fine, definitely would NOT add the full 1/2 cup. I highly recommend trying potatoes as an addition!!

Merritt's Butternut Squash Gratin

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Way too much cheese - I reduced by half and it was perfect. This is a delicious recipe! I'm not big on rosemary so did thyme and Penzey's Fox Point, absolutely delicious. I also expedited the process by cooking the squash fully on the stovetop, mixing in half the cheese/breadcrumbs into the squash with some milk + boullion instead of broth, then put in a dish, topped with the rest of the cheese/breadcrumbs and baked til the top was crispy.

Drop Dead Delicious Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
2 cups of mayo? Disgusting. I use ~2 tablespoons mayo per can of tuna - 1/4 of the amount called for in this recipe - and it is plenty. Using relish makes tuna salad moist without the need for as much mayo especially if you add extra relish.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
Wowwww these are fabulous!!! I was too impatient to chill the dough balls before baking so mine did spread out and didn't look quite as pretty as the picture, but they are SO GOOD!!!!! The chapstick end worked very well for making the holes and the jam didn't bubble out or spread at all. The only change I made was add a little extra almond extract in the dough - almond is one of my favorites. I will definitely be making these again.

Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I add parmesan cheese to the mix and dip in seasoned breadcrumbs before frying and serve them with homemade tartar sauce. We like them crispy so we don't bake in soup. One of my husband's favorite dinners!
