This recipe is a good starting point, but I have NEVER made it as written. I follow Atkins (low-carb) so I use real mayonnaise instead of carbier Miracle Whip and granular Splenda in place of sugar. The first time I made it, I used poppy seeds as written and halved the amount of sweetener. I didn't like the poppy seeds and the coleslaw was too sweet. This time, I used 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds instead of poppy, added several grinds of fresh black pepper, and only used 2 tablespoon of sweetener. Next time I'll try 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds and maybe a touch more sweetener.
