26 year old guy who likes to cook for himself, family and friends. i work at a RTF for juvenile delinquent males and have become a pro at cooking for larger groups, with limited resources, and still making it good.
My favorite things to cook
breakfast foods are the best, bacon is the great gift God has given us. i also love slow cooker meals, asian food, and dessert, though i'm more of a chef than a baker.
My favorite family cooking traditions
learned asain cooking from an asian couple and im 1/4 eastern european (czech/slovak) and we do that up right too...but i'm an american, so we do it all!
My cooking triumphs
i first attempt at making my grandmother's cold dough cookies at christmas came out just like her's. this is a huge compliment since my aunts and great aunts claim she was the best baker in the family, and until then, no one had been able to get them as good. i know she's looking down, proud as can be!
My cooking tragedies
ha! i accidently swapped out 1/4 teaspoon for 1/4 cup of salt in cobbler recipe once...and then there was the apple crisp that's topping didnt crisp...it just kinda melted.
