Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
My family really liked it and it was easy. A bit of a flour taste, will cook the flour and butter a bit longer next time before adding the chicken broth and milk. I halved the recipe for my family of 4 and made in an 8x8 pan, cooked for 35 mins. Wondering if I could just make two 8x8 pans next time and freeze one? Really good!

Mexican Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
I love this fresh tasting salad. Lots of chopping, but so worth it. I use only 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the juice of one lime, and 2 or 3 roma tomatoes. Serving tonight with bbq ribs!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
The best part of this website is finding great recipes then making them your own! I liked this chili very much and over the years have tweaked it so it better suits my families taste. I use 1 lb ground turkey, 1/2 onion, 1 tsp crushed garlic from a jar, 2 T mild chili seasoning packet, 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of tomato sauce, 1/4 C Pace mild salsa, 1 can dark red kidney beans, 1 can white beans (great northern). I serve it over saffron rice with a little sour cream and some corn bread. Thanks Deb!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
This is great. The recipe may seem intimidating looking at that long list of ingredients, but it goes together quickly and is such a great quiche. I made this for a brunch buffet at my house and everyone loved it. I also offered a sliced fresh fruit plate with pears, melons and strawberries, pumpkin bread and mimosa's, of course!

Teriyaki Chicken with Tropical Sauce

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
My family were not big fans of this chicken. I don't think they like the teriyaki.

Warm Fiesta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
Fantastic. I use spinach leaves and cut the chicken in small pieces. Any warm salad is expected to wilt, and it's perfect with spinach (not to mention healthy). Big WARNING: do not add the "remaining" fajita mix to the bean mixture, it's WAY too salty and totally overpowers the dish. Just sprinkle the bean mixture lightly and save the rest of the seasoning packet for the next time. You'll get great flavor this way, I promise. My husband and I love this, my kids eat it. I make this again and again and always enjoy the leftovers for lunch the next day (all mixed together and wilty!) Very easy.

Yum, this was good. My 2 year old wasn't thrilled, but we adults liked it.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2003
I served this for a causal dinner party and it was gone so fast, I should have cooked a larger roast! I served it with gratin potatoes and fresh green beans. SO EASY....

Outstanding Chicken Dinner

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2003
This was great. My husband asked me to fix this often after I served it for dinner the first time. He loved it, and so did my 2 year old. Be sure to reserve more broth than called for in the recipe. You'll need at least a whole cup, if not more; it is very thick with all that flour. I made this for a last minute dinner party and everyone raved. I love recipes that make me look good in the kitchen!!!

Red, White and Blue Slaw Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2002
We loved this salad! Used Kraft coleslaw dressing and didn't think it called for enough until it sat for a bit and the amount was perfect. I love coleslaw and everything is better with bacon and bluecheese so you can't go wrong. So easy (used prewashed & sliced cabbage in a bag!) and wonderful taste. Took to a July 4 celebration yesterday and everyone loved it.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2002
Loved this recipe! First time I made it, I used too much wine and the gravy never thickened. I used a little less wine the last time and it was fabulous. I save this to impress company when we have dinner parties. I serve it with polenta and fresh green beans. Very impressive and very easy.
