Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2014
Everytime I make this macaroni sald for potlucks I get asked for the recipe. I use the full amount of sugar called for, I like it sweet, & everyone that has tried it, does too. I sometimes cut down on the celery & mustard; sometimes use a whole 16 oz. box of elbow macaroni, but otherwise follow the recipe as written. Good Stuff!!!

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
maybe it was the meat that I used; a 2.5 lb. pork serloin roast, but I didn't care for the sauce either. It tasted sour. I put it all in fridge, no fat rose to the top. The next day I put it on the stove & added a mixture of 2 T. cornstarch to 1 T. apple cider vinegar to thicken it. Also, added a couple sprinkles of cinnamon, couple T. br. sugar, & a little more bottled bbq sauce. Simmered, now its back in the crockpot. Hoping I'm able to save this!

I am eating it now, I will never buy it from the store again! Really good, I did use most of the sugar called for, & followed the recipe exactly.

Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
I like this; but after I put meat mixture in bottom, I layer mashed potatoes, corn, & shredded cheddar, I then arrange the tator tots over the entire top in rows.

Lancaster County Stuffed Green Pepper Boats

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
I'll try these tonite. I make a similar recipe. But I fry the hamburger & onion & garlic powder in a skillet, drain then add jarred spaghetti sauce & white minute rice, simmer it about 5 minutes. Meanwhile I would have boiled the peppers, then fill them, top with bacon (I use Oscar Mayer pre-cooked-takes 15 sec. in micro.), then top with a slice of american cheese. You can put some plain spaghetti sauce in bottom of glass baking dish, then the peppers. Cook them 350 for about 10-15 min.

Slow Cooker Island Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
I did not like this at all. I'm not a fan of putting pineapple in food other than dessert, but thought I'd try it. It tasted too sour. Since this cost me over $20 to make tho, I'm going to pick out the pineapple, & try to add more ingred. to change the flavor.
