Boiled Bagels

I made these yesterday and ate one today,and they were waaaaaayyyy too salty. It was like swallowing ocean water! They also didn't rise and only got slightly bigger when I boiled them, but they still turned out really puny. I think I'll try a different bagel recipe next time.

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

I used egg beaters out of the carton instead of seperating the eggs. I made one cake in a smaller tube pan and one in a mini funnel cake shape, but they didn't turn out right. I am sure I baked them over the suggested time, but they still came out of the oven tasting and smelling like eggs. It even looked like there were peices of cooked egg inside, and the texture was eggy, too. It was basically like eating eggs in the shape of a cake... I am definitely using REAL seperated eggs next time. But I did end up eaing half the cake anyway because I was hungry. :)

Italian Cookies I

These were AMAZING! I made them for my italian grandma and she loved them. I used anise extract instead, and they tasted just like I remember. I dipped the cookies in a confectioner's sugar glaze and added sprinkles on top, too, and they were a hit!

Bread in a Bag

The bread tasted good but it was kinda hard and crusty. It also burned really easily, making for bad toast and grilled cheese. I found the bag to be more of a pain and more time consuming, personally. The bread eventually softened up and tasted better, though.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were the opposite of giant! I made a batch of 4 cookies so I wouldn't eat too many, and they were way too small to be called Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies. I also cut down on the chocolate chips and left out the walnuts and they held up reall well in the oven. They were more crispy than chewy, but were perfect for dunking and cooled in barely 5 minutes. They weren't what I was looking for, but they were still really yummy!
