My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember my grandmothers slow-cooking yummy broths over a charcoal stove when I was little. My task was always to fan the fire till the charcoals are red hot. The broths always turn out extra delicious!
My cooking triumphs
I have been missing food from home ever since I left the little island... So, I have ventured to make some of those dishes myself and with the help of my husband, we made daikon radish 'cake' a while back and it was the closest thing to home I have ever made!!
My cooking tragedies
Long long time ago, I tried to make a potato dish in a slow cooker and followed the recipe that came with the slow cooker to a T. Unfortunately, it turned out extremely salty... kind of edible, but I threw most of it away... to this day, I still don't know why...

Orange Beef-Style Tofu Stir-Fry
The orange sauce was OK. I might use regular flour instead of corn starch next time. It turned out kind of gooey...

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I
Yum! I cooked this in a French oven instead and only for about an hour and it is enough fir me to want to make this again!
