Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Easiest Pie Ever! I was a little hesitant to make this because some of the reviews said it was runny...NOT TRUE if you follow the recipe! I made a few alterations in that i evened up the fruit to 3 cups of each kind, I baked it at 425 for the first 15 minutes and then 375 for the remaining 40-45. I also covered the edges with foil to keep it from getting too crispy and used a lattice top (it's not hard!) to let off some excess moisture. This is the perfect pie! literally! Super easy and fast! I chilled it overnight and some of the next day and it was amazingly firm and the best pie i've ever tasted!

Best Brownies

Wow! the description on these is totally accurate! i left out half of the butter (by mistake) and they still turned out tooootally amazing! i will warn you, if you alter the recipe, the directions will be the ones for the previous quantities...i learned the hard way! ;) but, it's not a big deal, because they really "Always turn out!"

Grandma's Orange Milk Sherbet

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
I just made this Sherbet on probably the hottest and most humid day here and it was perfect! although i would have to say it isn't much like sherbet or like that picture at all...it is more of a fruit-slushy kinda' thing. (see the pic i added) nevertheless it got RAVE reviews from my family! (just a note, the serving size here gave 7 people a small/medium bowl of sherbet) Also, scalding the milk isn't necessary, according to online sources. it was done years ago in place of pasturization. so it really isn't a must do kinda' thing. I did it anyway, just for the heck of it though. I think next time i'll use strawberries in place of the pineapple just for fun. Thank you Marilynn! such a yummy recipe!

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
This cake was Perfect! absolutley Splendiferous! I pretty much followed the exact recipe, lemon pudding and all...i think it might have been a leetle weird with vinilla...but anyway, my whole family LOVED it and gobbled it up! However i would give the "glaze" about three stars...i boiled it for 2 minutes as a reviewer suggested and let it cool completely but it never really got thick enough to stay on the cake...it just puddled around it. So i poked lots of teeny holes in the top with a toothpick and poured it over it again...The glaze Tasted great...it just made the cake look soggy.

Rachel's Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
This stuff has really improved my view on turkeyloaf! My mom used to make this...stuff...that was basically a big ball of turkey...YUCK! so i convinced her to use this recipe, and my family was verrrry thankful! I thought the texture was just a wee bit...weird...coulda' just been the turkey...but yeah, EVERYBODY in my family loves it! it's their favorite meatloaf recipe now. I didn't have the onion soup mix so i added a bunch of finely minced onions. I also added garlic powder and basil. And i think next time i'll cut the stuff on top in half...it's a little bit to much barbque-y stuff. Rachel, thank you EVERsomuch for posting this! :D

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
I used it to frost some cupcakes and firstly, it was flat and didn't taste all that amazing...nevertheless i dunked my cupcakes (no way it would have squirted out like in the picture!) and we refrigerated them...well, when we had them for dinner the frosting had...curdled or something...anyway, it tasted like rotten bananas! no joke! so we scraped it off and ate the cupcakse :p Now, i know i'm a bad cook and it was probably just me, but my amazing cook of a brother was looking on and thought i was doing it well...So, needless to say, i won't be making this again.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
My pooch Tasha loved 'em!! Very Simple, and they smell good...no, i haven't tried one yet ;P My dog pukes whenever she has cheese so i switched that for peanut butter...worked great! I had to add quite a bit of extra flour to get it right...about 3/4 cup...no big deal though! My doggie is VERY appreciative of the creator of this recipe!! =D

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
The cookie dough is AMAZING!!! and so are the cookies!! I burned my tongue tasting one 'cause i tried to eat it too fast...'cause it was too tasty...;p Basicly it's a pretty AWESOME cookie recipe...and there's this unique taste...i can't quite identify it...but it brings this cooky to a whole new level...way better than "Best Chocolate Chip Cookies" Try "Supernatural Colossal Knock-Your-Socks-Off Choco Chip Cookies" I had to bake mine just a teensy bit longer to get the desired (and highly sought after) perfectly baked cookie look... Mmmmm...i wated for one to cool off and it's YUMMY!! *nom nom nom* =D

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Perfect and Awesome Brownies! I've noticed a lot of reviews say that they wouldn't bake through...make sure to let them sit on the rack in their pan till they're pretty cool. They'll bake during that time and turn into some awesome, fudgy, chewy brownies!! Thanks Brooke!
