About this Cook
I'm a teenage girl, and I'm CRAZY about horses...which would explaine my profile pic...=D
My favorite things to cook
DESERTS!!! *nom nom nom nom*
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hmmm...we make Rice Mush on Christmas Eve and we cover it in cinnamon and sugar and various un-healthy things =D...and then we have lefse...yes, on christmas eve! It's fun :p Just for you un-informed people, Lefse is a Norwegien food that is Potatoes and other stuff...smashed into something that looks like a tortilla...and you put butter and sugar on it and roll it up in to little rolly thingys and gobble it!!
My cooking triumphs
well...i made these to-dy-4 cookys today...i love spelling that... cookys cookees kookees kookiez That word is so much fun =D
My cooking tragedies
Most everything i cook is a tragedy...except fer those yummy rolls i made last sunday...and those yummy cookies i made today...But seriously...i do botch most of the recipes i try =) (which may explain why my dog is so fat...) JK, my dog eats better than that! =D tehehe

Best Brownies
Wow! the description on these is totally accurate! i left out half of the butter (by mistake) and they still turned out tooootally amazing! i will warn you, if you alter the recipe, the directions will be the ones for the previous quantities...i learned the hard way! ;) but, it's not a big deal, because they really "Always turn out!"

Grandma's Orange Milk Sherbet
I just made this Sherbet on probably the hottest and most humid day here and it was perfect! although i would have to say it isn't much like sherbet or like that picture at all...it is more of a fruit-slushy kinda' thing. (see the pic i added) nevertheless it got RAVE reviews from my family! (just a note, the serving size here gave 7 people a small/medium bowl of sherbet) Also, scalding the milk isn't necessary, according to online sources. it was done years ago in place of pasturization. so it really isn't a must do kinda' thing. I did it anyway, just for the heck of it though. I think next time i'll use strawberries in place of the pineapple just for fun. Thank you Marilynn! such a yummy recipe!

Orange Cake
This cake was Perfect! absolutley Splendiferous! I pretty much followed the exact recipe, lemon pudding and all...i think it might have been a leetle weird with vinilla...but anyway, my whole family LOVED it and gobbled it up! However i would give the "glaze" about three stars...i boiled it for 2 minutes as a reviewer suggested and let it cool completely but it never really got thick enough to stay on the cake...it just puddled around it. So i poked lots of teeny holes in the top with a toothpick and poured it over it again...The glaze Tasted great...it just made the cake look soggy.
