Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
Loved this recipe. I browned turkey sausage and added the soup and milk right into it. Next in the dish I then added my tater tots on top of that. Next on went the cheese. I bake it for the full 40 minutes and it was just perfect. Even my picky husband liked it. I will make this again.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
This dough is VERY thick. My Kitchen Aid mixer handled it just fine though. The cookies are very good and worth the effort. They are very rich and chocolatey...Just the way we like them.

Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This pineapple cake is very good. A little time consuming with the egg beatings and such but it is worth it. The cake has a very light texture...my favorite part. And of course sweet hubbies favorite part is all the sugar top part. I will be making this again.

Apple Maple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This apple recipe is soooooooo very good. I followed the recipe exactly except that I doubled the topping. I know what you are thinking...but at our home the topping is something we all fight over. I have added this to my sweet hubbies favorite list and will be making again.

White Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
My husband said it was the best white sauce I had ever made. I added a little cheddar and parmesan cheese along with some freshly ground pepper. This is a keeper for sure.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
The whole family really enjoyed this recipe. I will be making it again! The changes I made were... I left out the salsa (husband does not like) and used canned tomatoes instead. But we had salsa on the side if anyone wanted to add it. I used turkey hamburger instead of beef (personal perference). I used 2 cans of cream of mushroom and none of the cream of chicken (didn't have it) and last I used only shredded cheddar cheese. We had sour cream also to add if desired.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
This was VERY good and easy to make. My husband LOVED it also. The changes I made were: I used NO celery or celery seed. I had no carrots so I used 1 cup of frozen corn. I had no frozen peas so I used canned peas that had been drained. With some extra chicken broth I made more gravy. We spooned this over our chicken pie and it made an excellent chicken pie even more special. I will make this again. Thanks for the wonderful recipe, Roberta. 2nd review for this recipe. When I made this recipe the first time I made 2 pies and froze one of them, unbaked. Well this week I got it out of the freezer after 7 weeks and baked it. Let me tell you...it was still GREAT even after being frozen. My husband says this is his favorite chicken pot pie. I had made a few changes as stated in my 1st review. This is definitely a keeper and will be something I will be making again and again.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
These cookies were really good. Baking cookies is usually not one of my strong areas of baking but these turned out beautiful and very tasty. I did add a huge spoonful of peanut butter to the recipe, some chocolate chips to the batter, and a little cocoa. Can never get to much chocolate. I also make really big cookies instead of small ones. Cooked them for 12 minutes and they were perfect. I will make these again. Thanks for the recipe.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
This recipe is now one of my favorites and it IS my husband's favorite. I made several loaves over Christmas to give as gifts and made several for our own family. Everyone loved it. Time and time again this recipe has been consistent. It has a good flavor, holds together well and cuts very nicely. Makes a very good sandwich bread. This is a keeper.

We really enjoyed these brownies. I added some walnuts to the mix and a spoon of peanut butter before baking. This is probably my new favorite recipe for brownies. I will make these again. Thanks for sharing...

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
These biscuits were GREAT!!! Easy to prepare, very little mess involved. WONDERFUL flavor, flakey, just the right consistency inside. Cooking time given was right on the mark. Only change I made was...I used 2% milk. Did not have any buttermilk. Most biscuit recipes and especially store-bought biscuits taste very salty. But these DO NOT!! My husband LOVED them also. I will be making these again. Thanks for the fantastic recipe.

A Good Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
This sauce was really easy to make and we really liked the taste of it. I made a few changes. Diet cola instead of regular, 3 tablespoons of dehydrated onions instead of minced, real garlic (to taste) instead of powder and also a small amount of honey (maybe a tablespoon or so). I will be making this again.

Graham Cracker Crust II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
I have made this crust many times from this recipe and it always turns out great. I usually double it and put it in a casserole dish for a larger dessert. Be sure to press it firmly. That is the key to success.

Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2004
I fixed this baked chicken for my mom's 80th birthday dinner. It was a winner by the whole family especially by my sweet husband. I used thighs and legs and changed the spices somewhat. I added onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. I left out the paprika and sage. Also I used only 1/4 cup of butter, as suggested by others. I will be making this again. Thanks Candy for this great idea!

Frozen Pineapple Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2004
Great recipe! Could not believe how simple it was to make and how good it was. My husband and daughter are fans of it also. I made mine in a casserole dish instead of the 2 pie shells. I used the homemade graham cracker crust recipe from this site for the bottom layer. I also left out the lemon because my husband is not a big fan of sour things. I will definitely make this again. Also I did not freeze it. It never made it past the fridge and was great each day until it was all gone.

Baklava

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2002
I made this baklava for my husband for Valentine's Day. It was the first time I had ever tried it. I was very impressed with the results. It's too sweet for my taste but my husband really loved it. Usually a recipe has to have chocolate to be loved by him. He said the only thing better than this dessert was "me".

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2001
Great recipe Nikki! Very moist. I added the topping ingredients "into" the mix & also "on top", like Holly suggested. Also I added chopped pecans. Even my wonderful husband, who thinks ALL recipes must have chocolate in them to be good, loved these muffins. For easier clean-up I used cupcake liners. A+ on this one!
