While I was out camping on the perimeter of the Gulf of Alaska this past summer, I had a cooking epiphany.  I had a can of chili from Safeway, and a 3-pound Italian salami log.  We were out of fish,  running out of MREs, and we still had about 3 days left til we headed homeward.  So, I decided… MORE

I got accepted to Johnson and Wales University's culinary program right after high school. After deciding not to be a cook for life, I started taking Interior Design courses in college, and I am the wife of a US Marine.

My mom's sweet potato casserole, and my pumpkin pie.
My cooking triumphs
My version of Taste of Home's chicken bean casserole is bomb, and I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like my pie crust. Once my family found that I make the best crust, I became the one who brings the pie to family dinners.
My cooking tragedies
Burning water. Haha!

New York Italian Pizza Dough
This is delicious! it made the Breakfast Pizza from All Recipes taste amazing. both times I made it with this dough, it didn't last past dinner time.

Crab-Filled Egg Rolls With Ginger-Lime Dipping Sauce
These are amazing! It was a hit all around. what a great balance of flavors. I served these egg rolls with my homemade pork stir fry and sticky rice.
