Gulliver's Cream Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
This corn was awesome! Served for a family dinner and my guests couldn't get enough. Followed the recipe exactly and it turned out so good!!! Wouldn't change a thing. Thanks so much for submitting. I never have eaten at Gullivers but can see why people would go there just for the corn!

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
As a girl from Iowa, these do bring back memories of the days of going to the Maid-Rite shop and getting a loosemeat sandwich. Very good, tastes just like the ones from the sandwich shop. Thanks for the recipe!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
This recipe was good, but I tweaked it a bit. I used three different kinds of cheese and 1 and 1 half times the amount of cheese as the recipe called for. I used; shredded sharp cheddar, shredded colby jack and shredded velveeta(comes already shredded in a pkg.) and then added the cottage cheese, sour cream and parmesan cheese the recipe called for. I made the topping out of 1/2 cup cracker crumbs mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter and 1/2 tsp. paprika. It was very good. My fiance loved it, and he's a big mac and cheese fan. Maybe it's because his name is Chuck, also. ;) Thanks for the recipe!

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This recipe was so unique and so delicious. Followed the recipe exactly as written and ended up with tender and very tasty pork loin. The cloves and apple butter give it just the right sweetness and spice flavor. Thanks for the recipe!

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
These were great! Perfect seasoned taste! I have always used a packet of fajita seasoning mix before, but never will again. I used boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into strips and marinated them all day while I was at work. They came out awesome. Thanks for the recipe Teresa!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
This is the BEST lasagne recipe. The only substitutions I make are 1/2 lb. of ground sausage in place of 1/2 lb. of the ground beef and I use the "no boil" lasagne noodles so as to cut down on the prep time. This comes out so delicious! Thanks for the great recipe!

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2005
I made these for my daughter's graduation open house, and doubled the recipe and they were all gone before the open house was over! I cheated a bit and used frozen mini-meatballs from Sam's Club and put them frozen in the crockpot to simmer in the sauce for a couple of hours. They came out great! Thanks for the recipe, Lara!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2005
This was awesome. I was a little scared about using the jalapenos so I stuck with all green chiles and it came out great! The cayene pepper gave it plenty of "kick" for me and those I served it to. I have shared the recipe with a few other people, and they too have had great results. Thanks a bunch to both Cathy and ChaCha.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2004
These wings were awesome! Nice and crispy and not overpoweringly spicy. I used Franks Hot Sauce and it was delicious. If you like really hot, some substitutions or additions would probably have to be made...but I made them as the recipe directed and they were perfect for our tastes! Thanks a bunch Kelly. You've given us our new "stay-at-home" football gameday appetizer.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2004
These brownies were really good. They reminded me exactly of the peanut butter brownies in our school lunch program 25 years ago that enticed all the students to eat school lunch the day they were offered. I followed the recipe exactly as written and they came out perfect. Thanks Jo for the taste down memory lane.

Absolutely the Best Nacho Dip Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
This was a really delicious variation to all the other nacho dips that are out there. I followed the directions exactly, with the exception of adding chopped black olives to the top. It was great. It was a tad watery after sitting due to the salsa, I think draining the salsa would be a good tip as a previous reviewer recommended. Thanks for the recipe Jeff, I'll be taking it to our company Christmas treat day, along with copies of the recipe. I'm sure many will request it.

Old-Fashioned Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2003
I have always made scalloped corn very similar to this recipe, but adding the paprika, butter and crackers to make a crumb topping really made an improvement. Everyone I served it to at our Thanksgiving gathering really loved it. I did add diced onions to the corn mixture, my family loves them in their scalloped corn, but otherwise I followed the recipe to a tee and it came out wonderful! Thanks for the recipe Cali!
