Banana Split Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
Everyone loves this cake. I omit the cream cheese and make the pudding as directed. I poke holes in the cake with the end of a wooden spoon so the pudding flows through the cake. I also add strawberries over bananas and pineapple and drizzle chocolate sauce and or butterscotch topping on top cake!!! YUMMY

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Very similar to a recipe that I have been making for years. I use shredded mozerella cheese, I also add diced red onions. I mix up the peppers, red, green, yellow, or orange. I rough chop pepperoncinis. I prefer hard salami the best and have the deli slice about 4 1/4 inch slices and dice them. Going to make this for an upcoming party.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
This was very easy and very good, but I personally think that a can of crushed pineapple would have made it better! I still gave 5 stars because everyone raved about it. I recommend turning the ham so that all sides can soak and cook in the juices.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
2009 - making Grandma Ople pie again this year, my husband actually followed the recipe and made it himself, rave reviews again! 2008 - Best apple pie ever! I doubled mixture because we like all the gooeiness. I mixed it with apples like other reviewers and used solid top not lattice. I brushed top with egg white and sugar. Everyone loved it.

Used Cream of chix soup and like a true Gringa wife (of a full blooded Mexican) I used corn tortillas. Hubby liked as well as friends who were visiting!

Slow Cooker Venison Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I soaked my roast overnight in milk to help tenderize and also I have been told that it makes it less "gamey" tasting. I omitted the soy and worchestire sauces and added carrots, tators and a can of corn later in cooking and it was a home run! My husband loved it!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I make a very similar casserole w/o ham but with leftover holiday ham, I decided to make this. I was tempted to use the cream of celery that I had on hand, but took another reviewers advice and went out for the cream of tator soup and am positive it make all the difference. My recipe w/o ham calls for cream of chix and with the cream of tator it was way creamier!!! SOOOOOOO good!! We're going to crack a few eggs over the leftovers in the morning!!
