Sicilian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
Loved this. Added fresh spinach, 1 can Canellini beans, garlic and about 1 tsp raw sugar. Also used 1 lb sweet italian sausage, instead of 1/2 lb. Great with crusty bread! Also good if you add tortellini instead of the ditallini.

Chicken David

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
This was fantastic! I doubled the sauce and did the chicken with thin sliced chicken breasts dipped in egg and flour mixed with Italian bread crumbs. I fried the chicken first in olive oil, removed and then made the sauce. Added chicken right before serving. Served over angel hair. It was fantastic. I used 3 lbs thin sliced chicken breasts, and double the sauce...1 jar sauce, and 1 cup plus ff half and half ( instead of cream). It was superb! I have a lot left over for another meal of 4. ( served 4). Thanks for such a GREAT recipe! Highly recommend you try this

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
This was absolutely delicious! I fed 6 teenagers and 3 adults and doubled the recipe...NONE left! Served with a Caesar Salad and garlic bread. Also added about 8 fresh chopped basil leaves to the sauce. That is all I changed. One of the best ever!

Garlic Creamed Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
First I cut up chicken in chunks and sauteed in olive oil. Then I added soup. cream cheese and soup (doubled it for my family) Thought this sounded like a "no brainer". It had NO FLAVOR at all. Added 6 slices provolone cheese, 1/2 cup sherry, parsley. pepper, lawrey's seasoning salt, more sherry......then decided to add a bag of mixed veggies (pre-cooked). Had to keep tweaking! Not a very flavorful dish! Ended up tasting OK, but had to really add stuff! Served over noodles. Too much FAT for too little flavor! Easier recipes without the fat! No one in my family wanted again. PS....added a TON of garlic...still not good!

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I never made crab cakes b/4 trying this. My family loves them. I have to double or triple the recipe. I also add 8oz of imitation to 16 oz of real crab meat, and get about 10 good sized patties (good for a sandwich the next day). I use Waverly Wafers for the cracker meal, and roll in italian bread crumbs. YUM! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. I will never make another!

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
Made this and served as a side dish with fish. Thought the flavors sounded interesting, but was a bit afraid at first. Wish I had doubled the recipe, because both of my teenagers wanted more! Fantastic flavor. I grated the ginger root, and in fact added more. Highly recommend giving it a try. Would make a great holiday side dish for a nice change of tradition!
