Grandma Gudgel's Black Bottom Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Oh my these were good!! I did change the recipe a little because I try to make things healthier but still tasty, and I succeeded this time (it doesn't always work)! I cut the sugar in the cream cheese mix to 1/4 cup, and the chocolate chips to 3/4 cup. In the cake part I replaced the sugar with 1/2 cup raw honey, and because of that I reduced the water to 3/4 cup and added 1/2 tsp to the baking soda. I substituted applesauce for the oil and used home ground whole wheat flour. And it was fantastic! Thanks for the recipe!

Playoff Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
I have never made meatballs before but have always loved them. I followed the recipe except that I didn't have the onions so I used a seasoning that has onions, garlic and some other things. Mine stuck together great and tasted wonderful! I skipped the BBQ sauce and just put them in the oven plain because my daughter (3) doesn't like it, and she loved them! Ans they were really easy, I'm going to freeze some to have on hand!

Chewy Cocoa Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I stopped at 2 stores looking for Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies tonight and there were I'm really glad about that, because these are just as good, and healthier with my organic and whole wheat ingrediants! I am SO excited that I found a homemade recipe that I LOVE! I followed all of the directions except that I put in a little extra cocoa and didn't let them cool completely in the pan because I wasn't patient enough! :)

Whole Wheat Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
I grind my own whole wheat flour so I just used that kind. I also had to add a little water. I have never made noodles before, I mixed the dough in a stand mixer then used a noodle roller and OH MY GOODNESS these are GOOD! I just put some butter and salt on them and the whole process took less than 15 minutes! The longest part was peeling them apart out of the noodle roller. Would also work to roll it out and cut them, and probably wouldn't take much more time. Well off to finish the last half of the batch, I was just so excited to rate this! Thank you for the recipe!
