Slow Cooker Cider Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2012
This roast was very good. I added a couple of potatoes and a can of chick peas so I didn't have to make anything else. Only disappointment: You don't taste the apple or the apple cider at all. My family liked it a lot, but if you're looking for an apple flavour, it's not there.

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
I couldn't find pineapple preserves so I used apricot preserves and it was delicious. The meat was very moist and the sauce added great flavor. Very easy and quick to make.

Asian Glazed Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
This is an excellent recipe. You'll make it over and over, so you'll use up that chili-garlic sauce and sesame oil even if you don't use them for anything else. I didn't even use as much honey as the recipe calls for (4 scant tablespoons) because I used very good orange blossom honey and it was delicious. Rice and a salad of cole slaw (or julienned veges) with an Asian dressing complete the meal. I use an Asian Sesame Dressing.

Uncle Jesse's French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I've found that if you pour the ingredients on the bread and refrigerate everything til the bread absorbs the liquid, which takes about 10 minutes or so, you will get better absorption. Otherwise, the bread doesn't absorb enough of the liquid.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
Made this for my grandson. It was delicious. I put it in a 9-inch spring pan as instructed, but I think it would have fit into an 8-inch pan and been thicker and more attractive. Delicious. Will make it again.

Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
I used feta cheese because some members of my family don't like blue, and it turned out very well. I'll make it again and will also try blue cheese.
