Dulce de Leche Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2004
Very good and creamy consistency. I took out about a half a cup and sprinkled in some strawberry cool aid and marbled it in then topped it off with splenda sweetened sliced strawberries.

Low Carb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2004
I made this for Thanksgiving last year. I thought it was pretty good concidering it was low carb, no sugar, and low fat. Yes, the texture was a tad unusual for cheesecake but I will trade that for the guilty feeling of eating a real cheesecake any day! We added a can of cherry pie filling to the top.

Strawberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: May 15, 2004
Oh Wow! This was so good! I even made a few changes to make it low-cal and is was still delicious! I used Splenda sweetener instead of sugar and instead of brown sugar, I used 1/4 cup of Splenda and 1 tbsp of sugar free maple syrup. I did not have any cornstarch on hand so I used t tbsp of flour instead and it came out so yummy. It was a little more brown thatn I liked but I think this was because of the Maple Syrup. A little time consuming (that is the reason for 4 stars and not 5) but worth the effort.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2004
This really had a great flavor!!! The ONLY problem I had with this recipie was the texture of the sauce. It was a bit runny for me. Next time I will add a bit of flour to thicken it up. I used 98% fat free soup and fat free cream cheese and it took nothing away from the flavor. My husband mentioned that next time we should marinade the meat before cooking for added flavor. I served this over rotini noodels and the leftovers are just as good if not better.

Piggy Pudding Dessert Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2004
I thought this was very good... but the crust lacked something. I have not figured out what yet. But still worth making (and eating too)!

Mozzarella Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
I made 60 of these for a Christmas party. I came home with about 8. The next day for a birthday party I made 20 more and they were all eaten. Everyone loved them! I did do a few things diffrently. I used regular canned biscuit dough (the store did not have the buttermilk dough) and the pre-cut colby-jack cheese cubes and instead of pouring the sauce on the puffs, I had it in a bowl to the side. Next time (and there definantly will be a next time) I think I may add a little garlic salt in with the oregano.

Broiled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2003
Absolutely wonderful! I have been looking for a new way of cooking pork chops! I used boneless pork chops. I did not have any vinegar so I used lemon juice instead and added garlic salt to taste. I also prefer to do things the easy way so I threw the chops in the crock pot, poured the sauce over them, set the temp to high and let it cook for about 4 1/2 hours. They came out so tender that we could cut then with a fork and one chop (that was thinner) actually fell apart in the crock pot. When we finished them up I was sad that we did not have more! I would give this one more than 5 stars if I could. Deffinantly a keeper!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2003
Something was wrong with this. The consistency was all wrong... kind of like glue. It6 stuck to the roof of my mouth and WAY too much garlic. I may try this one again using less garlic and not putting the potatoes in the blender. I will use a hand masher instead.

I am not crazy about apples but this is a great recipe for baked apples. For Thanksgiving I made them. Only I sliced the apples in 8 slices each and poured the the mixture over them. They were great!
