Banana Nut Oatmeal

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
The concept of this recipe, in my opinion, deserves 3 stars. You do have to change the flax seeds to be sure you used ground flax seeds. And, that is too much honey, way too sweet. But, I used ground flax seed, less honey, and I used old fashion oats and just put the honey, banana, flax seed and walnuts on at the end. I eat this at least once a week, thanks for inspiring a healthy breakfast I can add to my rotation!

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
I am kinda slow on writing this review but I made these for my dog, Lucky, as well as friends/neighbors dogs for Christmas. All of Lucky's friends were delighted with their gift. I have recipe requests from their 4-legged parents. Thanks so much for sharing!

Grandma's Butter Noodles

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Awesome noodle recipe. The flavor of these noodles is phenomenal. And, if that's not enough, I have never worked with a dough that was soooo easy to work with and roll really thin. My homemade noodles are usually a little too thick for my taste but I could get these rolled out very thin. Thank you so much sharing such an awesome recipe!

Springtime Spaghetti

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
Wow! This recipe was soooo good! I only made 2 changes for my own diet needs, substituting whole wheat pasta and the heavy cream I susbtituted with nonfat milk, cornstarch, and whole wheat flour making this a healthy side. I served with with the beer lime grilled chicken from this site. Thank you for your submission!

Turkey Noodle Soup

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
The flavors I would rate a 5! But this did not turn out as soup. It was more like turkey and noodles with vegetables. Great flavor but next time I around I will use 1/2 bag of 12oz bag of noodles. Thank you for the recipe!

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
We did this at work but left the oil out entirely and it was fine! We found our magic amount to be 1/4 cup in a brown lunch bag. We seasoned a variety of ways: salt, cinnamon/artificial sweetener, tabasco sauce, ICBINB spray. Thanks!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
Wow! this is sooo good! I have tried breakfast casseroles in the past but could not find the flavor and texture I was seeking, this is just awesome! Thank you for sharing. We had it Christmas morning and I used left over ham in place of the bacon and made it New Years morning.

This was pretty good. Was very deep and I could not fit all the layers into my pan and maybe the flavors are just not for my taste buds

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
This had a really good flavor but did not cook down as written. Next time I will follow the suggestion of fellow reviewers and reduce the sauce by cooking on stovetop prior to pouring over the top. I was using leg quarters (skin & bones) so cooking the sauce first is still necessary. But, great flavor, thanks for the recipe!

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
This is such an awesome sandwich! With meat prices so high and summer vegetables in season, it is such a money saver, too! I am not vegetarian but live on a budget and this is an awesome sandwich for healthiness and cost effective. I would give one word of warning, if you have a cheap charcoal grill like mine, the bread will burn before you melt the cheese. It warms and melts fine on my george foreman and would probably work fine if you have a grill you can lower the heat and flame. Thank you for the awesome recipe!

Breaded Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Ugh! I just typed this once with enthusiasm then hit cancel instead of rate... I hope to express myself as well the second time. Thank you chefspecialty for the awesome recipe! The only changes I made were panko (didn't have bread crumbs) and baked mine on a foil-lined cookie sheet because I did not have a rack to put over. Mine were nicely browned and crunchy. I set the timer for 15 mins to check and just kept resetting and checking every 3 to 5 mins. until the right golden brown. I made homemade spaghetti sauce as a dip and truly enjoyed this pre SuperBowl. Next time, I plan to add garlic powder to the breading but I will not make any other changes. Now to hit rate instead of cancel.... :)

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I had never tried kale but love exploring new recipes and new foods. This soup is awesome! Even bf who is not adventurous in dining (pure meat and potatoes man) had two servings and was shocked himself. I followed the recipe as written, did not change a thing. Thank you to the cook who submitted this.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I was concerned with the balsamic vinegar in this recipe (I stared at the measuring cup thinking that is a lot of vingar!) But, I am so glad I made it according to directions. I truly enjoyed it and was happy to find another twist on chicken that is healthy. Thank you for the recipe!

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I followed some of the suggestions from others (i.e. removing visible fat and returning to juice to refrigerate overnight) and I also used 3C water/3C beef broth. We ate ours on french bread toasted with olive oil, italian seasoning, and slices of fresh mozzarella. I sauteed a sweet onion and mushrooms to add as topping. Absolutely amazing! We had for dinner two nights and I am looking forward to having it again this week! Thank you for the recipe!
