Salsa Cheese Boule Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
This was good.I got compliments and it was very easy. I bought 2 boules and cut the 2nd one up into neat chunks. I found that the ripped up pieces kinda fell apart in the dip. The color was not very appetizing though. It was a wierd pink. I changed the servings to twelve instead of the nine and that was great because I had the extra that didn't go into the boule in the oven in a small crock pot on the counter and refilled the boule when it was low. Next time I make it I will add some taco seasoning to see how that works. By the way I used On the Border medium salsa.

Cinnamon Hazelnut Biscotti

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This was so very good. It didn't rise very much but I tell ya it didn't make a differance in the taste. I didn't have any hazelnuts so I also used pecans. I will always use this recipe for biscotti. Thanks!

New Year's Day Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Really good recipe. I soaked the black eyed peas over night. I am from the south so I started with a roux. I just added an 1/8 of a cup of flour to the oil. Got it to a nice brown over medium heat. Then added onions. I used fresh garlic, about 2 cloved minced. Added ham, added some water slowly then peas also a bone from the left over ham I used. I didn't have whole tomatos so I used a can of diced. We like the tomato chunk so I didn't liquify them. Oh yeah, lot's of fresh cracked pepper! It was really good. Thank for the recipe.

Feta Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This is really garlicy and dilly. I liked it, but no one else touched it. I was really bummed. It was easy to put together. I love feta cheese and I will try this again with less garlic and dill maybe.

Basic Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
This cheesecake was really easy to put together. It was my first time making a cheesecake. My crust seemed kinda burnt though. Also I had very little cracking and I did not use a water bath. So rich and good. I will try to make this again.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

I love this recipe. It sets up very quick and doesn't take away from the cookie. I baked some sour cream cookies and this was the perfect amount of sweetness I needed. Thanks

Turkey Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
We loved this. I didn't have enough filling for all 24 tortillas or enough enchilada sauce. I suppose it was just the way I was putting them together. What a really great way to use your leftover thanksgiving turkey. I'll use this for chicken too.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
We just didn't like the taste of this crust for pizza. It was very easy to make though. As another person did I put it in the bread machine on the dough function. It came out very nicely. I added some Italian seasoning too. I would try this again replacing the wheat flout with white.

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
This was good. Mine came out a bit dense. I will try again. I'm thinking a yeast problem. I served it at a dinner and it was gone so that says something! Thank you!
