Holly's Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Love this hummus recipe! I made it last year. My hubby and I ate all of it in one sitting. This time I did not add any salt or pepper but added more olive oil. However, I do recommend only using a food processor. That worked better than the blender. Went from blender to food processor. Lesson learned! :)

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I loved this recipe. I can't find it now but I remember reading to add plain yogurt to the dough and that was a God-send. I added 1 1/2 cups of the yogurt to the dough and they turned out perfect. I also used Ghirardelli chocolate chips I already had on hand. Yum!

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
This is an awesome recipe. Love it so much I eagerly ate the frosting alone. Yum! I This was easy to make. Just be ready to beat the sugar. It is best to slowly add the sugar. I measured it in 1/2 cups which worked nicely.

Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
Love this recipe! I made it last night and my husband loved it. The best part is that I made it gluten free. Yum! To make it gluten free, I used gluten free bread crumbs for the meatballs. Then I didn't add the orzo but gf elbow noodles instead.

Best No-Bake Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
Loved it & so did my husband. I used the suggestion from another review to use frozen whip topping instead of the heavy cream. Yum! Then, I used the chocolate Graham crackers for the crust. The remainder i sprinkled on top. then i placed sliced fresh strawberries on top instead of anything canned. Anything fresh is always good. Considered sliced bananas but had plenty of strawberries.

Truly easy! I wanted something with chocolate then it occurred to me to use chocolate rice krispies. Perfect solution for me since I had the chocolate ones on hand and gluten free. Yum!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2014
I loved it. I just added some Old Bay seasoning since I didn't have celery salt. I did cut down the butter as recommended by a reviewer. I would make this again!

Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 13, 2014
Great recipe! While cooking asparagus, I added a teaspoon of minced garlic and sun dried tomatoes that had basil seasoning. I also used Italian seasoning to the chicken when I prepared it. In hind sight, I wish I would have chopped asparagus ahead of time because I ended up chopping them after they cooked. Also, I wouldn't use all penne, maybe half because we had a lot leftover.

Amazing Lentils and Kale

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2014
Very Yummy. We loved it! I used a different broth - 1/2 chicken & 1/2 turkey. I also was low on chunky style salsa (under 1/2 a jar) so I added a 16 oz can of diced garlic & onion tomatoes with juice to the dish and it turned out great!
