BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
Not a big meatball fan but these were good! I had some ground venison unthawed so subtituted that for beef. I used 2% milk rather than evaporated. But everything else I followed. The sauce .... I used 1/3 cup of brown sugar and I thought it was perfect. DON"T SKIP the chilli powder, it makes the meatball!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
5 stars for the brownies and 3 stars for the frosting. I took these brownies to a family potluck today and they received rave reviews! To make the frosting work, I only used 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar and added a Tablespoon or two of milk to thin it. It spreads to a thin glaze when you frost brownies right out of the oven. And they cut perfectly as mentioned in other reviews after they cool!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
I was looking for a recipe to use up some leftover mashed potatoes and broccoli so I used this. So I substituted my leftovers and a handful of baby carrots that I shredded in the food processor for the bag of broccoli. I used my emulsion blender to make it smooth, mixed cornstarch with a cup of the soup rather than water. It was excellent, the best soup I ever made!!!!

This was really good. I have never had "ham" fried rice because it didn't sound good to me. But I had all the ingredients on hand so I thought I would give it a try. I made recipe for 6 and followed redipe exactly.

Homemade Laundry Soap

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
I have been using this soap for several months now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I have used the Zote once and the Fels Napa 4 times. I find that the Zote creates much more dust than the Fels Napa so I prefer the Fels napa. I can purchase all of the ingredients at my local Walmart which is ideal for me. I was strictly a Tide user and I am no more which saves me about $30 to $40 per month. If you want more instructions or photos Baking Nana has a blog with more details. Thanks Baking Nana

Boneless Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
This is an excellent recipe. I followed recipe exactly with flour and milk/egg mixture leftover. I doubled the recipe and made one batch with the hot wing sauce and the second batch I left plain for kids. I had some left over "clone of a pretzel dip" from this site and used that as a dip for the plain ones! NO LEFTOVERS and we would have eaten more!! Cannot wait to make again.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
These are my favorite pancakes on this site. I have made these twice once with melted butter and once with vegetable oil. They were FLUFFY when I used the oil and not so much with the butter. But the flavor really didn't change.

This is a very simple, fast, and delicious dessert. I made this recipe exactly as stated. Baked it in a pyrex 9 x 13 and served with whipped cream. Everyone loved it and asked for the recipe! So much better than pumpkin pie!!!!!

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
Very good, however I used what I had on hand. Substituted Cream of Mushroom & used a pkg of shredded Colby and Monteray Jack for cheese. Added peas and a couple of tablespoon of sour cream, and black pepper. Love the french fried onion rings! Yum!

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
Made these yesterday with my daughter so I wasn't allowed to add nuts but they were very very good. The nuts would make them even better! I had never had shortbread cookies with chocolate chips, but they were great. I used salted butter (because that's what I had) and added the salt, and they were a little too salty so watch the salt! A must try!

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2015
This is really good! I added some fresh ginger and omitted the onions and olive oil. I felt there was plenty marinade, no need to double as mentioned in several reviews. Served with the dill rice and garlic green beans! This is a new favorite at our house.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
Ran out of ranch dressing but had a dry ranch mix which I used a couple tablespoons mixed with a 1/4 cup sourcream and 1/4 cup mayo, used 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp sugar and followed the rest of the ingredients exactly. Very good and very tender. This makes a lot of marinade, it probably would work for 7 chicken breasts, I used 5. DH loved too.
