BBQ Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Really good and very easy! I used all turkey and omitted all of the vodka from the recipe. I also used all fresh tomatoes from my garden (instead of the canned) and cooked them together with all of the other sauce ingredients. Also, baked the meatballs in a 400 degree oven for about 40 minutes (while making the sauce)... I put them in a crock pot and poured only half of the sauce over the meatballs. I froze the other half of the sauce to use later.

Great! Will make again! I used a 11 oz. bag of white chocolate chips and about 1/2 cup of both butterscotch and chocolate chips! Awesome, a big hit!

Lemon-Herb Turkey

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Super easy and really great flavor! The turkey stayed moist and had wonderful flavor! I substituted fresh oregano for the marjoram and mixed the herbs in the olive oil then spread that mixture over the meat under the skin. I also only used the roasting bag to keep the turkey in (I preped it the day before and stored it in the refrigerator), I covered the turkey with foil for roasting and uncovered it for the last 30 minutes to allow the skin to crisp up. Awesome, will make again!

Tuna-Filled Shells

Great! Will definitely make again! I used three 6 oz. cans crab meat in place of the 12 oz. tuna. Even my anti-creamy husband enjoyed this!

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Very good! I omitted the coriander and the chili pepper flakes. I also used water instead of broth, fresh tomatoes from our garden instead of salsa and the crushed tomatoes.

Pinwheel Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Very good! I used two small cans of mushrooms and dried minced onion. I also made this the night before and just put it in the baking dish and covered it with foil in the fridge overnight and just popped it in the oven and baked about 10 - 15 minutes extra.

Slow Cooker Turkey Cheeseburger Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Really great! My 9 month LOVED this! I substituted a 16 oz. bag of frozen corn (just added it frozen when I mixed up the recipe), I also used all fresh tomatoes from our garden and added just a sprinkle of liquid smoke. It was very hardy and great for a cool day!

Mexican-Style Spaghetti and Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Great! Pretty easy too; I have little ones so I left out the jalapeno and Anaheim and I used about 4 cups fresh tomatoes from our garden instead of the canned. Will make again!

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
Fantastic and super easy! I wasn't paying attention and just put all of the ingredients in the pot; so I just simmered the mix until the rhubarb was cooked and the consistency seemed right (probably about 20 - 30 minutes). I just ladled it into containers and stored in the refrigerator.

Good recipe, but I thought these were really dry when I was mixing up the filling and I added more mayo.

Fantastic, doesn't get that sticky feeling that banana bread sometimes gets! Have made this several times already and will definitely continue to make!

Soccer Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2012
Way better than expected! I cut the recipe in half for my family of 4 and just used a bag of prewashed lettuce. I also toasted the almonds and sesame seeds in a small skillet and added real bacon bits/pieces (about half a bag) to the pan, heated through. Meanwhile, I mixed up the dressing in a small bowl and once the almonds, seeds and bacon were ready I added them to the dressing while hot, which really nicely distributed the bacon flavor. Tossed all before serving, great and so simple; I think this only took about 10 minutes tops! :D Thanks for the new recipe to add to my rotating collection of keepers!

Super simple and good! I used peach jello and used a combination of frozen strawberries and peaches and I mashed them with a potato masher as they cooked with the jello. Will make again.

Gelatin-Flavored Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Really good twist to a popcorn treat! I used Berry Fusion Jello (which is blackberry and raspberry flavored). I also just used 3 bags of lightly buttered microwave popcorn; it is a good salty, sweet combination. Will make again trying other flavors.

Fantastic and really easy since I just put all of the ingredients in the food processor and blended it up! I made this a few days in advance and took it to my sisters Bridal Shower/Bachlorette Party. It was a huge hit with veggies, crackers and pita chips! Will be making again!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Great slaw, I ended up with a really saucy slaw; next time I'll probably half the sauce or use more slaw/shredded carrots.
