Sweet-n-Hot Beer Bratwurst Skillet

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was alright; I put everything in a crockpot and sliced the brats to make them easy to eat with toothpicks for our football party. I also ended up taking the brats out and searing them on both sides which firmed them up and added flavor; then I put them back in the crock with a bit of cumin...which helped the flavor.

Good will make again! Super simple! Also serve with jelly or jam; I've tried both apricot and pepper jelly...both good. Would try raspberry next.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Was really good, but no one else in my family ate it. Probably won't make it again for that reason.

Mushroom Swiss Burger

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I didn't thaw the hamburger ahead of time so I just fried the hamburger and added all of the other ingredients except the egg. We served these on a bun with tomato and cheese. Very good!

Pretzel Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
Super simple and good! I used peach jello and used a combination of frozen strawberries and peaches and I mashed them with a potato masher as they cooked with the jello. Will make again.

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Awesome! I used turkey breakfast sausage and I think next time I will use a whole tub of ricotta because I didn't seem to have enough filling to fill all of the shells. I also used shredded Monterey Jack cheese and a whole large jar of pasta sauce. GREAT!

Good recipe, but I thought these were really dry when I was mixing up the filling and I added more mayo.

Laura's Lemon Roasted Potatoes

Fantastic and easy! Will totally be making again! I ended up leaving these in the oven for about an hour and then I actually put them under the broiler for about 15 minutes stirring every 3-5 minutes.

Cheesy Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Great, will definitely be making again! I cooked the meatballs in the microwave for 5 minutes (just to firm them up), then I placed them on top of the mixed soup ingredients (minus the cheez whiz); I also added about 4-5 cups more water, then I put it in the refrigerator until the next morning when I put it in the crock pot all day. I mixed in the cheez whiz and we had a great supper after a busy day!

Loaded Greek Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Great recipe! I used a 10 oz. box of frozen spinach (thawed and squeezed dry) and my son requested meatloaf instead of burgers so I just mixed up the meat mixture and put it in a loaf pan, baked for about 1 - 1 1/4 hours. I also made the spread for us to put on the meatloaf as we plated it. Great will definitely make again!

Gelatin-Flavored Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
Really good twist to a popcorn treat! I used Berry Fusion Jello (which is blackberry and raspberry flavored). I also just used 3 bags of lightly buttered microwave popcorn; it is a good salty, sweet combination. Will make again trying other flavors.
