Easy Apple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
WOW..best fruit cole slaw EVER. Definitely try different apples, but gotta keep in the green apple for tart. When cutting the apples..toss with a tablespoon of lemon juice per apple to keep from browning and also add the amount of lemon juice the recipe calls for:) I kept all the reviewers suggestions in mind and my best suggestion would be too add everything in, but leave out the onions and bell pepper, then mix in the dressing (which is PERFECT as is) and taste...see if you like it sweeter rather than a bit more spicy? Spicy really isn't the word, but you know what I mean a bit closer to a neutral taste/tangy/tart side. I found adding the bell pepper after that was tangy enough so I omitted the onions. I also added a Tablespoon of Apple Vinegar..the mixture of tang to sweet was perfect, but make sure to cut the bell pepper into small pieces:) Oh and buy the precut cabbage bag mixed with carrots, cuts down the water build up;)

Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
AWESOMEEEEE!!!! It was sooo scrumptious! I DEFINITELY suggest cutting the sugar in HALF though. It is already a VERY rich pie so it came out perfect doing just that. I also added 31 pieces of caramel and actually would suggest cutting that to about 27 pieces. I also added a half cup more of chopped pecans, but found that was a bit much for my liking (it came out pretty nutty) so maybe just add a third cup if you like your pecan pies less nutty. To help set the pie PERFECTLY (I like mine to hold its shape instead of a bit runny) Cook at 275 for 1 hour:))) Cutting out a few caramel pieces helps out too:) I took all of these suggestions from other reviewers and found they were SUCH a great help!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I followed the recipe and it came out PERFECT! Absolutely delicious:))) This was the first pie I have ever made!! About 40 to 45 minutes into cook time I added a few mini marshmallows and it really came out beautiful:) Only thing I would suggest is getting a deep dish unbaked pie crust. I had bought the regular and it ended up making two pies:) which was great depending on what fits your occasion!
