Savory Biscuit Bites

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
I have to give these a 5 based on the reviews of my family. They were the hit of my Thanksgiving dinner for 12. I added a pinch of garlic powder and cut the biscuits in half as I was serving them with a meal. I imagine the flavor would be even better if cut in quarters as directed.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
Fantastic!! I used the orange zest and cranberry variation. My co-workers loved them. I had several requests for the recipe. As already mentioned, don't over mix or knead too much. I usually just gather up the crumbs and roll it out.

Chicken Papadoris

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
I enjoyed this. I doubled the curry (because it was mild) and put it and the cumin in when the onions were added. I did not add the cornstarch but reduced the sauce instead as someone else suggested. Regretably I did not have the pine nuts to finish it off as I'm sure they would have been good with it.

EVERYONE, including my father-in-law who doesn't eat many desserts, loved it. Thanks!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
Made this for my son's birthday party. I used baby spinach, cut down on the sugar and substituted red wine vinegar for the white. WELL.. the inlaws gobbled it up and I didn't get one bite. I had to make it again the next day so I could try myself. Delicious!! I'm sure they would rate it the same. :o)

Sweet Maple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
The pork chops turned out great. I dipped once and my oatmeal coated well and adhered just fine (very little came off during cooking process). It was quite sweet but we did enjoy the maple flavor.

Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2005
Hubby requested them to go in the beef stew and they turned out great...light and fluffy. Hubby was happy and I thought they were better than mom's. Only change I made was to add a touch more butter.

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2005
I would like to have given it a 3 1/2. It was ok but seemed to be missing a little something. Maybe my "not so thick" coconut milk was part of the problem (not the usual brand I buy). Oh well, it all got eaten and I guess that's what matters.

Maryellen's Baked Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This smelled fabulous while cooking. But I did not find the taste of the finished product lived up to the smell.

Elegant Turkey Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Enjoyed this a lot. Only used about 1/3 of the orange liqueur but now wish I'd used some more. Also cut done on the amount of sausage due to the guests I was serving. Happily had leftovers to reheat the next day.

Cranberry Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2004
Cut back on the onion soup mix but still was all you could taste, cranberry flavor totally lost. Was ok but probably won't make again.

Glazed Pearl Onions With Raisins And Almonds

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2004
I made this for Thanksgiving and enjoyed it very much. It was going to take well over 45 minutes to cook down at "very low" so turned mine up a bit and stirred a little more often.
